Hello all, First i apologise for my english, i'm french and i hope i'll be clear enougth I've discovered DixvToDVD a few weeks ago and i love it : it is really simple, fast and work properly. But, as there is always a but, i have trouble with some files. The conversion go through well, but when i read the VOB file, the sound is not well converted : It goes too fast, and so the sound track is finished before the video one. have you encountered such a trouble yet? As there are not parameters in DivxToDVD, i think there is nothing to do? Thank in advance for your help |

If you could be a bit more specific; You said that program works fine but sometimes sound is too fast? Please tell examples, which files are problematic, what reports does DivXtoDVD give when converting etc? Is original PAL or NTSC, what format is sound? Much easier to help when there is more info to use! |

| DivXtoDVD says 'Standard' and then Automatic, force PAL and Force NTSC. Although I'm not sure, I assume they're talking about the output files to be forced in either PAL or NTSC. Anyway, if you force an NTSC movie to PAL or PAL to NTSC, most conversion tools give you audio sync problems. A lot of DVD players will have problems with seeking and navigating through chapters also because of that. |

| If you get NO sound at all, that is odd. What does DivXtoDVD report when opening that file? (include log please) Do you have proper codecs; can you hear sound when watching that movie with MediaPlayer or BSPlayer? |

| I have the same problem. I converted a AVI movie using DivXtoDVD then burnt it with CopyToDVD and there is NO sound whatsoever on my home DVD player. However, when I play the same DVD in my PC (WMP, DVD Shrink, etc...) the sound is there... Here are the parameters of the conversion: 5 11:13:11 AM info MSG Level #0 - rc buffer underflow 12/01/2005 11:13:10 AM info Output Stream#1 - Audio: ac3, 48000 Hz, stereo, 192 kb/s 12/01/2005 11:13:10 AM info Output Stream#0 - Video: mpeg2video, 720x480, 29.97 fps, q=2-31, 5153 kb/s 12/01/2005 11:13:10 AM info Stream #0.1 --> #0.1 12/01/2005 11:13:10 AM info Stream #0.0 --> #0.0 12/01/2005 11:13:10 AM info Stream mapping 12/01/2005 11:13:10 AM info Set Avg. video bitrate 5154.0 kb/s 12/01/2005 11:13:10 AM info 4:3 automatically selected 12/01/2005 11:13:10 AM info NTSC 29.97 FPS output format has been selected 12/01/2005 11:13:10 AM info conversion started 12/01/2005 11:13:10 AM info Delay of audio #0 = 466 mS 12/01/2005 11:13:10 AM info Computed Frame Aspect Ratio : 1.2500 12/01/2005 11:13:10 AM info Stream#1 - Audio: mp3, 44100 Hz, stereo, 128 kb/s 12/01/2005 11:13:10 AM info Stream#0 - Video: mpeg4, 720x576, 29.97 fps 12/01/2005 11:13:10 AM info Found 2 Stream(s) - movie duration 01:44:46.386 12/01/2005 11:13:10 AM info Input file "H:\Temp\BLADE.Trinity.FRENCH.TS.1CD-TRAN-X-N-SNOWBLAD\BLADE.Trinity.FRENCH.TS.1CD-TRAN-X-N-SNOWBLAD.avi" |

| Very odd. You have that problem with all movies encoded with DivXtoDVD or just some? Movie has sounds ok, as it plays ok on computer. Have you tried that DVD on other DVD-player? Does your DVD-player have Dolby5.1 sound decoder? This might be a problem. I had one DVD-player that as default did not play any sound from DVD through TV speakers if that was using Dolby5.1 sounds. Usually on commercial DVD there is 5.1 AND normal stereo/mono audiotracks. Only that normal track is sent to TV speakers. Problem was solved by changing DVD-player settings so that it converted 5.1 sounds to normal TV-stereo. |

Very odd indeed; i tried the DVD-R in a different DVD player and it worked like a charm; so i brought it back to the first DVD player (the one that wasn't outputing any sound) to change the sound track from 5.1 to 2ch-stereo and without me havin to do anything, i have sound now... Maybe I should get some sleep once in awhile... |
