Also, in the activity log it showed that PAL was automatically selected. Why? The video was originally from the BBC and obviously encoded in PAL but after conversion to divx wouldn't that have been stripped off? Shouldn't I be able to burn the CD in NTSC? Thanx, Jeff | To burn a DVD with Nero; choose either "new data dvd" and make there VIDEO_TS folder, put all those files DivXtoDVD made there and burn. Or simplier, choose "new DVD-video" and Nero makes those folders for you, and drag those files in VIDEO_TS folder. And no; PAL or NTSC is more than just information. It is format and rate of picturestream, so that information must be there. Typical PAL is 720x576 pixels and 25 fps. NTSC is 720*480 pixels and 29.97 fps. You can try to enforce DivXtoDVD to create NTSC version from PAL version. Real question is why? All modern DVD-players support both formats, as does all modern TVs. Region codes are not affecting this neither. And to last question, CD? You can not make a CD with DVD-videofiles in it. Ok, you can make "mini-DVD" that is actually just a CD with same structure as DVD, but most DVD-players are not going to play it. DVD-standard requires at least 1GB of data on disk, and on CD you can't fit that much. Hope this answers your questions. |
