Hope one of yu good folks can point me in the right direction with this one. I installed Easy CD Creator 6 today on my WinXP (sp1) box and have attempted to burn my first 2 CD's. Using the Drag to Disc feature, I sucessfully(!) wrote to CD's. However, even after closing the discs to prevent further writing, only my Samsung SW-216B drive can see the new CD. My Phillips internal DVD drive gives back the unformatted disk error. On my girfriends Win2k box, the CD is visible in her Pioneer DVD drive but the same unformatted error in her CD drive. Any help would be much appreciated. Lone Ant

Many thanks roadworker - yes, the list of known issues is rather large isn't it? Two quick questions: 1. How do I check the Imapi burning engine is disabled in XP and 2. If not Easy CD, what software do you recommend? Thanks again fella. Lone Ant

Control panel-->administrative tools-->services-->IMAPI cdburning com service.....Smile About recommended burning software:every1 has his personal favorites because we all have a different taste Smile I personally don't care about flashy icons and colourful wizards, also I don't need a full all-in-1 burning program, they usually need lots of space and registry changes. I personally use these mostly: 1/Burnatonce to burn audio,imagefiles(iso/cue+bin)and data 2/RecordNowDX to burn my dvd's 3/Alcohol 120% to backup my protected cd's 4/EAC to rip the audiofiles I burn with Burnatonce There are lots of other good programs, for example Padus Discjuggler,NTI Cdmaker 5 etcetera... I refuse to use the "easy" packetwriting programs, like InCd,DirectCd,InstantWrite, drag'n drop, veritas dla or FileCd because these are most of time the cause that people mess up their cd or their system.......writing data this way is easy, but not recommended, because the cd's,written this way are not reliable...if I wanna add files to a cd later,I start a multisesion project.....

yes burnatonce is fast becoming my main burning software of choice and is constantly under improvement. I also Use Exact Audio Copy for Audio extraction for burning with Burnatonce, and a newer version of Exact Audio Copy is due out next week Nero, although having its bugs and being major "Bloatware" is a good choice for the newbie, For DVD, i use VSO softwares CopyToCD/DVD, and this will soon be part of Blindwrite;) for burning the VIDEO_TS files i make with DVD2One
