ok i will try and keep this simple. I have 1 film on dvd (will call disc A). This was made with a homedeck machine. What i wanted to do is replace the menu of disc A with a new menu i made in Ulead dvd workshop 2 (live clip about 1 min, infinite loop and has an audio (lpcm) background) Their is only 1 play item on the menu and that is to play the film. I have tried both methods (replace block and import/copy pgc). In the end this worked fine and i had my new menu, properly linked and all, however the audio from the new menu was missing in both methods i tried. I was curious aboht the audio, so i played the VIDEO_TS.vob by itself and the audio was still present in the new clip made by DRM. So i then took the next step and checked out the video_ts.ifo file drm had made, and sure enough it shows the menu as having no audio. So i wanted to know if this was an actual bug in the program, or if i am not doing something correctly? thanks again

ok i just tried doing the opposite. I opened up the dvd set for the dummy (new menu) that i made. I then opened up the regular dvd i wanted. I added the full film title to the dummy menu and had it compile from there. The menu (with audio) now works, however, i get the same result as before, except that now my film has no audio and this is reflected in the ifo file for it (vts_01_0.ifo and video_ts.ifo). So again unless i am doing something wrong it does seem to be a bug, in that its not keeping the audio after adding components to an exisiting dvd and then authoring.

it 'sounds' as if it didn't erdoke Smile I wouldn't say it's a bug mazinz, but rather a missing feature as I've been reading the wanted list and it was mentioned in there

hmm i was thinking along those lines as well, as that whatever i added to a certain disc, it would take on the characterisitcs of what the item was before it. This would explain why i had no menu audio and then doing the opposite, the film having no audio. I was thinking of a work around and i may have it. It involves using the merge dvd option. Bare with me on this: i will use my case-- Disc A has the film i want, disc B has the new menu i want in a nutshell i would merge disc A and B. Open up this new disc in DRM. Then using the hide command and such i could keep the menu i want from disc B, relink it to the film (disc A) i want and hide all the other stuff i dont want. I have not tested this, but it should work. Hopefully i will get a chance to try it out later--
