Did a photo slide show using trial version and DVD+R media. Played O.K. on Computer DVD player using Windows Media Player but will not play on Toshiba SD-6200. Is this an incompatibility? What settings should I have used? I used all default settings.

Hi Bill and welcome to the forum. Does your standalone player normally play DVD+R media ok? Sometimes you need to change the booktype to DVD - ROM ( if your writer supports this option ) May i ask what writer you are using?

Should I be using DVD-R Media? My DVD recorder doesn't have a DVD-ROM setting that I can find. The Toshiba Player will not play two DVD+R disc burned from different recorders. All compatibility lists show that it should play DVD-R media. I am going to purchase some DVD-R media and try them on the Player.

Hi! I've had the same bad experience with the +R, too. I burned +r media, which burnss faster, only to find out my player doesn't support it. Plus, it's more expensive media. I decided going with the cheaper, bit slower, yet more compatible -R. Hope this helps, Morke.
