|
|
| I have a bootable CD that I would like to make a copy of with a single file changed. I am using Nero software however have no idea how to edit the CD. For example on the source CD and file exists entitled D:\Test.jpg and I would like to have this file replaced with Henry.jpg when I make a copy. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

| If you’re using Nero it should be fairly easy. Can you give me some specs on your system? What’s your hard drive capacity? What OS are you using? Do you have a CD-ROM and CD-RW or just a CD-RW? Let me know and I’ll be glad to help you out further. It save me time on writing down all the different ways to do, what you’re trying to do. |

| Thanks for your help, I have a Win98 PC with a CD-ROM drive and a CD-RW drive. I am using the newest verion of Nero, My HDD capacity is over 4 Gig. I would like to make an exact copy of a bootable CD with the exception of changing a single file. Thanks again |

If you make an image of the cd(iso or cue/bin,NOT a CloneCd image!)you can open the imagefile with WinIso or UltraIso,delete the unwanted file and insert the preferred 1......save the modified image and load it for burning... |

| When I create an image using Nero is the .nrg file type ok ? The reason I ask is that I have created an image, changed the file in the image using WinISO and then burnt the image however the CD does not boot as the original did. Thanks |

| henrymclaughlin don’t stress out over this! Being that you have two CD-ROMs, what I would do is stick the disk that you want to copy into your CD-ROM and the disk that you’re recording into the burner. Open up Nero and select CD-ROM (ISO). Next, select the ISO tab, and make sure that the following boxes are checked. "ISO Level 1", "Mode 2 / XA", "ISO 9660", and all three "Relax ISO Restrictions" boxes. Then type whatever Date, and/or Label you want, and select the "New" button. That bring you to the ISO layout. Now all you have to do is move all the files that you want to copy from the disk, (that’s in your CD-ROM drive), over to the ISO layout. (that is everything but Test.jpg) Make sure that you also include any other files you want to copy. For example, you're going to want to move over Henry.jpg to the ISO layout. The next and final step is to burn it! If you've selected all the files on the disk, (with the exception of the one you didn't want) it should be an exact copy of the original with the *.jpg modification. Let me know how it turns out, especially if you run into any problems. |
