| Hya Dimad, I've got the strangest problem. I'm working on a extensive menu, where a certain vid stream is played before the subtitle menu. Without going into to much unnecessary details, I want to play this vid stream about 12 times. I used the substitute block option to save disc space, and then I exported the whole. Now on 4 of the 12 vid-streams I get a playback error. The vidstreams stops in the middle, and doesn't fully play. Routing does continue to the subtitle menu. I checked the ifo's and playback is pointed at the same vob-id for all the vid-streams, and the cell propeties are identical to the ones which are working. F.e. playback on cell 8 fails, but playback on cell 16 works: [0000033c] Cell_8: Cell type (Angle) 2 [02] type normal Block type normal seamless playback linked in PCI: no interleaved: no STC discontinuity: yes seamless angle linked in DSI: no [0000033d] Cell_8: Cell restricted? 0 [00] restricted: no [0000033e] Cell_8: still time (seconds, 0xFF = Infinite) 0 [00] [0000033f] Cell_8: command Nr (0 = no command) 0 [00] [00000340] Cell_8: playback time (BCD) 469 [000001d5] playback time (hh:mm:ss.frame) 00:00:01.15 / 30 fps [00000344] Cell_8: entry point sector 22079 [0000563f] [00000348] Cell_8: first ILVU VOBU end sector 0 [00000000] [0000034c] Cell_8: start sector of last VOBU 22502 [000057e6] [00000350] Cell_8: last sector of this cell 22682 [0000589a] [000003fc] Cell_16: Cell type (Angle) 2 [02] type normal Block type normal seamless playback linked in PCI: no interleaved: no STC discontinuity: yes seamless angle linked in DSI: no [000003fd] Cell_16: Cell restricted? 0 [00] restricted: no [000003fe] Cell_16: still time (seconds, 0xFF = Infinite) 0 [00] [000003ff] Cell_16: command Nr (0 = no command) 0 [00] [00000400] Cell_16: playback time (BCD) 469 [000001d5] playback time (hh:mm:ss.frame) 00:00:01.15 / 30 fps [00000404] Cell_16: entry point sector 22079 [0000563f] [00000408] Cell_16: first ILVU VOBU end sector 0 [00000000] [0000040c] Cell_16: start sector of last VOBU 22502 [000057e6] [00000410] Cell_16: last sector of this cell 22682 [0000589a] Cell Position in VOB: [0000057c] Cell_1: has VOB ID 1 [0001] [0000057f] Cell_1: has Cell ID 1 [01] [00000580] Cell_2: has VOB ID 2 [0002] [00000583] Cell_2: has Cell ID 1 [01] [00000584] Cell_3: has VOB ID 3 [0003] [00000587] Cell_3: has Cell ID 1 [01] [00000588] Cell_4: has VOB ID 4 [0004] [0000058b] Cell_4: has Cell ID 1 [01] [0000058c] Cell_5: has VOB ID 5 [0005] [0000058f] Cell_5: has Cell ID 1 [01] [00000590] Cell_6: has VOB ID 6 [0006] [00000593] Cell_6: has Cell ID 1 [01] [00000594] Cell_7: has VOB ID 7 [0007] [00000597] Cell_7: has Cell ID 1 [01] [00000598] Cell_8: has VOB ID 12 [000c] [0000059b] Cell_8: has Cell ID 1 [01] [0000059c] Cell_9: has VOB ID 8 [0008] [0000059f] Cell_9: has Cell ID 1 [01] [000005a0] Cell_10: has VOB ID 12 [000c] [000005a3] Cell_10: has Cell ID 1 [01] [000005a4] Cell_11: has VOB ID 9 [0009] [000005a7] Cell_11: has Cell ID 1 [01] [000005a8] Cell_12: has VOB ID 12 [000c] [000005ab] Cell_12: has Cell ID 1 [01] [000005ac] Cell_13: has VOB ID 10 [000a] [000005af] Cell_13: has Cell ID 1 [01] [000005b0] Cell_14: has VOB ID 12 [000c] [000005b3] Cell_14: has Cell ID 1 [01] [000005b4] Cell_15: has VOB ID 11 [000b] [000005b7] Cell_15: has Cell ID 1 [01] [000005b8] Cell_16: has VOB ID 12 [000c] [000005bb] Cell_16: has Cell ID 1 [01] [000005bc] Cell_17: has VOB ID 13 [000d] [000005bf] Cell_17: has Cell ID 1 [01] [000005c0] Cell_18: has VOB ID 12 [000c] [000005c3] Cell_18: has Cell ID 1 [01] [000005c4] Cell_19: has VOB ID 14 [000e] [000005c7] Cell_19: has Cell ID 1 [01] [000005c8] Cell_20: has VOB ID 12 [000c] [000005cb] Cell_20: has Cell ID 1 [01] [000005cc] Cell_21: has VOB ID 15 [000f] [000005cf] Cell_21: has Cell ID 1 [01] [000005d0] Cell_22: has VOB ID 12 [000c] [000005d3] Cell_22: has Cell ID 1 [01] [000005d4] Cell_23: has VOB ID 16 [0010] [000005d7] Cell_23: has Cell ID 1 [01] [000005d8] Cell_24: has VOB ID 12 [000c] [000005db] Cell_24: has Cell ID 1 [01] [000005dc] Cell_25: has VOB ID 17 [0011] [000005df] Cell_25: has Cell ID 1 [01] [000005e0] Cell_26: has VOB ID 12 [000c] [000005e3] Cell_26: has Cell ID 1 [01] [000005e4] Cell_27: has VOB ID 18 [0012] [000005e7] Cell_27: has Cell ID 1 [01] [000005e8] Cell_28: has VOB ID 12 [000c] [000005eb] Cell_28: has Cell ID 1 [01] [000005ec] Cell_29: has VOB ID 19 [0013] [000005ef] Cell_29: has Cell ID 1 [01] [000005f0] Cell_30: has VOB ID 12 [000c] [000005f3] Cell_30: has Cell ID 1 [01] [000005f4] Cell_31: has VOB ID 20 [0014] [000005f7] Cell_31: has Cell ID 1 [01] In WinDVD and Mark's and IfoEdit dvdplay it works flawless, it just acts up in my Sony standalone. Any idea's on what to try. Oh yeah, I'm using 2.5.1, will try an export with a newer version later. |

| I forgot to mention, that I cut the original vd-stream. I'll keep a list of things that I've tried: - Reimport the output into DVDRemake, examine it, and re-export No joy - Use the replace option, to change back the vid-stream to a different VOB_ID, by using the output to replace the cell. No joy - Use the replace option, to change back the vid-stream to a different VOB_ID, by using the original vid-stream to replace the cell. No joy, halts at the very same point, while the vid-stream is longer. - Ripped out the replaced vid-stream with VOB-rator for the DVDRemake output. VID-stream is fully available. I'm stomped |

run it through Ifoedit using a dummy strip and see if that fixes it if it does then you can compare files and see what's different |

I rebuild it this morning, and now it works without problems. So I reimported the original dvd, cut the vid-stream, did a substitute block for all the other vid-streams, replaced all the menu sections with the output files of the "corrupted" version, and re-exported it. Works like a charm now. The only thing I can think of is that I did a couple of restore blocks trying out the cut position on the original project. For the rest everything was pre-formed the same. I still don't get how it could fail though, as the ifo points to the same vob-id everywhere, vob sectors match, and the playbacktime is the same. Must be overlooking a table somewhere. A well, it works now. |
