Has nothing to do with DVD Remake, but we don't have an off-topic section. I got a disc where when I reathor with scenarist 2 cells get merged together. The first attribute is 8, and the second attribute is 10. Somehow these cells get merged on the scenarist output. Scenarist output: PGC (program chain): [00000002] Number of Programs 29 [1d] [00000003] Number of Cells 29 [1d] [00000004] Playback time (BCD) 18876352 [012007c0] Playback time (hh:mm:ss.frame) 01:20:07.00 / 30 [0000028a] Cell_8: Cell type (Angle) 8 [08] type normal Block type normal seamless playback linked in PCI: yes interleaved: no STC discontinuity: no seamless angle linked in DSI: no [0000028b] Cell_8: Cell restricted? 0 [00] restricted: no [0000028c] Cell_8: still time (seconds, 0xFF = Infinite) 0 [00] [0000028d] Cell_8: command Nr (0 = no command) 0 [00] [0000028e] Cell_8: playback time (BCD) 262601 [000401c9] playback time (hh:mm:ss.frame) 00:04:01.09 / 30 fps [00000292] Cell_8: entry point sector 321723 [0004e8bb] [00000296] Cell_8: first ILVU VOBU end sector 0 [00000000] [0000029a] Cell_8: start sector of last VOBU 405694 [000630be] [0000029e] Cell_8: last sector of this cell 405984 [000631e0] [000002a2] Cell_9: Cell type (Angle) 8 [08] type normal Block type normal seamless playback linked in PCI: yes interleaved: no STC discontinuity: no seamless angle linked in DSI: no [000002a3] Cell_9: Cell restricted? 0 [00] restricted: no [000002a4] Cell_9: still time (seconds, 0xFF = Infinite) 0 [00] [000002a5] Cell_9: command Nr (0 = no command) 0 [00] [000002a6] Cell_9: playback time (BCD) 87765 [000156d5] playback time (hh:mm:ss.frame) 00:01:56.15 / 30 fps [000002aa] Cell_9: entry point sector 405985 [000631e1] [000002ae] Cell_9: first ILVU VOBU end sector 0 [00000000] [000002b2] Cell_9: start sector of last VOBU 448442 [0006d7ba] [000002b6] Cell_9: last sector of this cell 448601 [0006d859] [000002ba] Cell_10: Cell type (Angle) 8 [08] type normal Block type normal seamless playback linked in PCI: yes interleaved: no STC discontinuity: no seamless angle linked in DSI: no [000002bb] Cell_10: Cell restricted? 0 [00] restricted: no [000002bc] Cell_10: still time (seconds, 0xFF = Infinite) 0 [00] [000002bd] Cell_10: command Nr (0 = no command) 0 [00] [000002be] Cell_10: playback time (BCD) 148451 [000243e3] playback time (hh:mm:ss.frame) 00:02:43.23 / 30 fps [000002c2] Cell_10: entry point sector 448602 [0006d85a] [000002c6] Cell_10: first ILVU VOBU end sector 0 [00000000] [000002ca] Cell_10: start sector of last VOBU 508801 [0007c381] [000002ce] Cell_10: last sector of this cell 509093 [0007c4a5] Original: PGC (program chain): [00000002] Number of Programs 29 [1d] [00000003] Number of Cells 34 [22] [00000004] Playback time (BCD) 18874850 [012001e2] Playback time (hh:mm:ss.frame) 01:20:01.22 / 30 fps [0000028a] Cell_8: Cell type (Angle) 8 [08] type normal Block type normal seamless playback linked in PCI: yes interleaved: no STC discontinuity: no seamless angle linked in DSI: no [0000028b] Cell_8: Cell restricted? 0 [00] restricted: no [0000028c] Cell_8: still time (seconds, 0xFF = Infinite) 0 [00] [0000028d] Cell_8: command Nr (0 = no command) 0 [00] [0000028e] Cell_8: playback time (BCD) 17105 [000042d1] playback time (hh:mm:ss.frame) 00:00:42.11 / 30 fps [00000292] Cell_8: entry point sector 321286 [0004e706] [00000296] Cell_8: first ILVU VOBU end sector 0 [00000000] [0000029a] Cell_8: start sector of last VOBU 337882 [000527da] [0000029e] Cell_8: last sector of this cell 338180 [00052904] [000002a2] Cell_9: Cell type (Angle) 10 [0a] type normal Block type normal seamless playback linked in PCI: yes interleaved: no STC discontinuity: yes seamless angle linked in DSI: no [000002a3] Cell_9: Cell restricted? 0 [00] restricted: no [000002a4] Cell_9: still time (seconds, 0xFF = Infinite) 0 [00] [000002a5] Cell_9: command Nr (0 = no command) 0 [00] [000002a6] Cell_9: playback time (BCD) 203201 [000319c1] playback time (hh:mm:ss.frame) 00:03:19.01 / 30 fps [000002aa] Cell_9: entry point sector 338181 [00052905] [000002ae] Cell_9: first ILVU VOBU end sector 0 [00000000] [000002b2] Cell_9: start sector of last VOBU 405179 [00062ebb] [000002b6] Cell_9: last sector of this cell 405324 [00062f4c] [000002ba] Cell_10: Cell type (Angle) 8 [08] type normal Block type normal seamless playback linked in PCI: yes interleaved: no STC discontinuity: no seamless angle linked in DSI: no [000002bb] Cell_10: Cell restricted? 0 [00] restricted: no [000002bc] Cell_10: still time (seconds, 0xFF = Infinite) 0 [00] [000002bd] Cell_10: command Nr (0 = no command) 0 [00] [000002be] Cell_10: playback time (BCD) 87763 [000156d3] playback time (hh:mm:ss.frame) 00:01:56.13 / 30 fps [000002c2] Cell_10: entry point sector 405325 [00062f4d] [000002c6] Cell_10: first ILVU VOBU end sector 0 [00000000] [000002ca] Cell_10: start sector of last VOBU 447700 [0006d4d4] [000002ce] Cell_10: last sector of this cell 447853 [0006d56d] Any suggestions on how to fix this except re-writing the entire PGC information manually |

| I see the Scenarist PGC has 29 cells and the original has 34 cells. Is the PGC supposed to be the same length in time or have you removed some of the cells on purpose? |

| That's part of the problem I think. Scenarist (and Maestro as well) seem to merge te cell which have discontinuance timing (or something). But normally timing stays the same. It's seems to be the combination of the timing and the cell type, that causes the mismatch. |

Maybe reauthoring with IFOEdit and use the original chapter information of that VTS (can be obtained with DVDDecrypter for example)? You can add menus (if any) with DRM or PGCEdit after IFOEdit processing. BTW I've just tried latest DVDLab Pro RC, it will be a very nice tool. But 200 bucks... |
