| Hi, I am a new user and i have a problem. When i want to test my exported dvd with windvd, it doesn t work. There is nothing. But i put the dvd in dvdshrink and save the new dvd with no compression and it works... I don t know what his the problem. Running into windvd is usefull for testing my modifcations. So is it "normal" ? or perhaps i do something wrong... Thank you Alain |

bonjour et bienvenue aux forum sometimes using software DVD players can give misleading results. It's better you try to play the DVD with Mark's Tray DVD player as it acts more like a fussy standalone DVD player if you get the Navpack program from this thread below I can compare the 2 sets of files and see what the difference is. I would need the original files, DVDRemake output files and DVDShrink output files processing http://cdr-zone.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1025 you won't be doing anything wrong and I'm thinking it may have something to do with the menu's but I can't say without checking the files if you zip them up into 3 separate zips then they will be a lot smaller also Just tell me when you have them if you do it |

| erdoke: "there is nothing" = windvd stay with a black screen, if i press "play", it tells me "stop"... I use the last version of dvdremake 2.4.4. (no PRO) MackemX: mark's dvd player can t be downloaded until the version 2.0 was released :s In fact, i have to make few test again because i modified the structure of the dvd before dvdremake with menuedit... So i m going to make more test with a new dvd. Thank you |

| let us know how it goes. Maybe it was something to do with the pre edits with Menuedit that made the DVD unstable after DRM. Did you use Ifoedit in that process? can you not do everything within DRM to the DVD or are you using a feature that Menuedit has and DRM doesn't? you can get the Tray Player here http://cdr-zone.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=759 |

| In fact, i think i have found my problem ! In fact, windvd want to have a real dvd structure : VIDEO_TS, AUDIO_TS in the same directory... When i export in dvdremake, i put it into a directory like D:\DVD\ so it doesn t work... And if a create the right structure, this is ok. Thank you for the link. |

Thank you for the link. | That's exactly how latest WinDVD works, needs VIDEO_TS folder to play a VIDEO_TS.IFO. Interestingly it is only from version 6, v. 4 & 5 played it anyway. I'm sorry that it didn't come to my mind immediately when reading your problem. |
