So I tried to read a disc on my Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-111D drive and the drive isnt being detected, nor is my other Philips DVD drive. Both have yellow exclamation points next to them in the device manager. I get the Code 39 Error:
"Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)"
I tried to rollback the driver for the Pioneer and its saying "no driver files have been backed up for this device." So I tried updating it. Then it says " Wizard could not find a better match for the software than what you have installed." A few friends said I probably have a virus or something. I dont know what im supposed to do now. Any help would be appreciated. Ive had both drives for like 5 years and never had issues with them until recently. I havent tried uninstalling or reinstalling yet though. If that is the solution, Id have to write down the driver name, uninstall, then look it up on the internet and reinstall it?
