Hi everyone! I’m new to this. I finally almost figured out how to do what I want… but not quite. I thought I would ask you experts for advice since you might be able to tell me something simple that would save me hours of messing around. What I want is to take a formatted dvd and keep it exactly as it is except for the fact that when you go to play a feature it will show a short intro message that I put in. I made my short intros on Final Cut Pro and After effects. Went through DVD studio Pro and built it to my hard drive. (I have a Mac so I’m running dvd remake pro on a stripped down windows xp off my parallels desktop) I ripped the main dvd to my hard drive and imported both discs into DVD remake pro (the newest one. Registered). I added a block and inserted my short clip to play at the right time just before the main feature. It all worked except there is no audio.

How can I fix this? Thank you.

Where exactly are you adding this block? That is, is this clip on the same PGC as the main feature, on a different VTS, on a Video Manager/Menus/PGC, etc.?

You probably have not added an audio track (if it is not already there) and enable it. To add, click on Video Title Set # or Program Chains node, and in the right window, select Audio Tracks pane, and "Add track". Make sure the audio property matches what your audio contains.

To enable the audio track, go to the Video Title Set/Program Chains/PGC # where your clip is, select Audio Tracks pane, double-click on the desired track and check "enable".

To preview the audio, make sure the stream is selected and hit Play button on the Preview window. Currently, only AC3 and MPEG audio can be heard in the Preview window.
