HI i have three recoder ,, 1- philips CDD 2600 2- LITE-ON LTR-16102B 3-HL-DT-St DVDRAM GSA-4163B All of them will not read PLATINUM CD-R 90 min / 800 MB showing in Nero latest version ,,, 79 min / 700 mb why Also like other media reading the reviews ,,, seems that recoder is not bad . Should i update to A102 , what it will bring .. please explain thanks in regards

its simple. Buy another dvd recorder which is expensive, or dont use that media, which is easy and cheaper.

Hi mnadeem and welcome to our forums. The latest f/w for your LG is now A103 now I believe. Newer firmwares are meant to bring in better compatibility for media, so lets hope an update is all that is needed to better support this media.

Hi,

Lately I tried to use 8.5 gn Double Layer to burn with my LG GSA-4163b, but no response. My burner won't burn!!

I saw some information regarding Firmware. How to use it for this LG mode.

Please help and advise.

There is tons of info for this burner in cdfreaks. You may have the same problem as others and get your answer there.

Make sure you have the latest firmware and use only Verbatim DVD+RL for dual layer burning. Any other brands are not reliable.
