I am not sure if this is a bug, but I had a file with Title track #0 and stream #5. I could not get sound to play in ReMake no matter what I tried.
When I exported file and played in software player, there was no problem. |

Are you talking about Z's file? Yep, I cannot get it to play either. That's why I suggest to remux with MuxMan to move stream #5 to stream #0. I'm not sure if it's a bug, either.
Software player is more lenient. It will find the first available stream to play. But I don't think standalones are that forgiving. You may not able to cycle the stream with the audio button due to gaps in the stream. |

Yes I was talking about Z's file. I did not try it in standalone.
I still have it so I will burn it on RW and try.
Let you know how it went.
But isn't it a standard procedure, that a player will try to play first available stream? |

| I could not resist. It works fine in standalone. |

| It depends on how well the firmware programmer makes their player behave by default. Some players just do not like holes in the empty stream. The preferred audio selection in the Settings also plays a part as well. |

| What you are saying, that not all players will play this file so ReMake just make sure that it is compatible with most by not excepting different stream address for track ? |

| Yes and no. I'm saying not all players like gaps in the stream (audio and subtitle), so it depends on their default behavior. DvdReMake allows you to assign stream to a specific track, it just does not know if it will be playable on the standalones. |

I must be missing something. How do you assign stream address to a track in ReMake? I thought Z did it in PgcEdit.
And if that is possible, than to my original question. How come it does not play in ReMake? |

| You assign stream to a specific track at the PGC level. As to your original question, same reply as my original answer - I don't know why there's no sound. Maybe Dimad can tell us. My standalones are able to play Z's files fine. |

Thanks, I missed that one.
For the rest, I guess, we have to wait for Dimad. |

| There are some audio formats allowed for DVD which are not supported by DvdReMake audio player. |

The audio format is AC3. We are discussing about Z's second movie trailer in VTS 3 where the stream ID is 0x85 and is assigned to Track 0, but there's no sound in DvdReMake. However, there is sound when playing in software players and standalones. I don't know if it's really a bug, so I suggested to demux/remux. Could you download this file and take a look: http://rs520.rapidshare.com/files/148080916/V_FOR_VENDETTA_D2_with_2nd_trailer.rar
Note that the files have not been authored to play from VTS2 (first movie trailer) to VTS3 (second movie trailer). But you can fix it to play in software player.
