Hello all,
I am a long-time user of ConvertX and it is literally my favorite program.
One feature that I LOVE most about convertX is that I can create my own menus and use them with whatever text and color I choose.
I can't seem to get that simple feature to work with the new version. I'm probably just missing something simple, but right now it is eluding me. Even if using this feature does not allow me to add music or video previews, that's fine, I would just like new convertX projects to match some older ones, like with several TV series that I collect.
Does Version 3 do higher quality conversions, or is the output the same from the previous versions?
One other question, I recently acquired some videos in the MP4 format, encoded with the H.264 codec, and both versions of convertX cannot seem to handle this format. After several minutes of converting, the program crashes. Again, I tried the most recent stable release and the new Version 3 Beta with the same result.
Any ideas?
Again, thanks in advance for any all help. |

Hello,
There is a new guide that has just been posted, I think it will answer a lot fo your questions about menu editing:
http://download.vso-software.fr/manual/ConvertXtoDVD3_manual.pdf
One thing though is that the current preview window of ConvertXtoDVD (3) does not reflect the actual changes you are doing for the menu. I know VSO is going to come out with another version where you can see a preview of your menu before converting the project.
Higher quality than version 2, I wouldn't say so, but it is as good as version 2 in terms of quality. Version 3 does have support for mulit core processors though which is a nice improvement for speed.
As for " MP4 format, encoded with the H.264 codec," Have you tried with version 3.0.0.9 ?
In anycase if you want a new format supported, the best thing is to send VSO a sample file that way the developers have the actual material to work with inorder to support it. |
