|
|
I've been working on a multi-pgc title (Want to keep it that way). Cutting a segment off the front of it was fine, although it took a while to find info on ILV cells (forum posts are quite old - many saying DRP doesn't support them), but it would appear that has changed in later versions - excellent. (the help file had some info).
Anyway, I (Cut from here) in the last ILV cell (I had to do the same thing in both angles). Initially, I thought all was well, but later I discovered playback order was affected - one title got to a certain point and just stopped (Not the end either - at about chapter 24 when there were 32 chapters(44 in the other title)).(97 and 103 cells)
So what else should I have done?
I thought that being the last cell the navigation wouldn't be affected (don't think I did anything else that would have affected?)-(no cell commands) Anyway, your thoughts are greatly appreciated.

| If the cells are truly interleaved, in the VTS domain/Domain Content pane, you will see an option to split interleaved cell when you select on the ILVU block. Do that and then cut from here. Is this the ending credits? |

Thx Toaddub for the reply.
That's actually what I did (yeah...the credits), and then I got playback problems. Crazy thing is, I've just done this again and it looks like it's fine. I don't know what's going on! I seem to be having some inconsistent results - all while trying to achieve the same thing with the same title. More than likely "User Error!" It's just so frustrating when things like this happen. |

Ahhh...here's where I came unstuck. I opened the exported dvd in shrink and I got 800mb of "Unreferenced Material"
The exported dvd (without the interleaved cell split) also opens in shrink (Without unreferenced material) and plays as it should do. (In shrink shows as "Title 1,2" like it should)
What is taking place do you think? Why does DVDshrink see this as "Unreferenced"? Can it be fixed? |

I'm not sure what happens. Does the "Unreferenced material" include anything elevant? Try to use FixVTS on the exported DVD and see if it resolves the problem.
What is the movie (region) you're working on? Perhaps if you can upload these files zipped, I can take a look and see what's wrong. Use the Navpack extractor to extract the original DVD, then on the exported DVD (without the ILVU cell split) and on the exported DVD (with the ILVU cell split). Tell me what kind of edit you've done on both exported DVDs. |

The "Unreferenced Material" seems to be part of the main movie. In Shrink, it only shows "Title 1" with the "UM" under that. (This is with the last ILV cell split). A quick test shows that the movie still plays back as though it is branched (Skipping through chapters). I haven't sat down to watch the movie fully to make certain. The "UM" did concern me though as I figure something isn't right.
When the last ILV cell isn't split, Shrink shows both movie options as "Title 1,2" together. This seems to play back okay as well. For the moment, I have left the last ILV cell unmodded.
I tried FixVTS. It adjusted some LBA pointers but the same "UM" result took place.
I'll have to sort out the files you mentioned. The movie has a motion menu that stops on the 2nd cell of that (giving you a selection panel SE or TR). Then a 2nd M-menu that leads you straight into the movie after you have made the selection. There is nothing else to the output except for the 2 version titles. Appreciate the help. |

| Is this resolved? Is everything OK when you're watching the movie? |
