I seem to be having issues with the burning of disks ripped by DVD95. The disks show to be ripped properly in Windows Explorer, but when burned with both internal burner and Nero, the disks show to have unreadable and unidentifiable files on them, not the normal vob files.

File names and directories show as __________._________

and nothing more.

Anyone having a similar problem or advice on how to correct?

Using DVD95 and AnyDVD - Windows XP Home SP2, and Sony burners.

I have rolled the DVD95 back to an older version and it sems to work fine, but cannot rip some of the newer releases.

Thanks!

Interesting... because Digi recommended the use of AnyDVD to remove CSS used in conjunction with his DVD95Copy for the actual ripping.

Please tell me more? Is there a better alternative?

Hi DragonzLeyer

That's an intersting piece of information. Everything I was always told was not to run any other on the fly rippers when using Dvd95copy as they can interfere with the proper process. ANy troubles I've had have either been from running out dated software or another program such as Slysoft in the background. Dvd95 SHOULD be sufficient on it's own

Could these issues be due to the new Sony copy protection?

I could use some advice here, or at least a good source to sell all these coasters to.... LOL!

I don't think so. I haven't had any trouble at all with any of the newer movies. Can you giive an example of a movie that youhaven't been able to copy?

Skin Walkers, Daywatch, Santa Clause 3

I'm about to delete all this mess and reload it from scratch with a new aspi and all, then see how it does.

Well I just ripped Santa Clause 3 .... It ripped ok and no errors. BUT; when I put it in the Dvd player I get a disc error. I can play everything on the disc except for the main movie... kind of the important part. Going to re-try again later.

OK.. I tried it again.. same thing. As soon as I try to play the movie Disc error. I tried to send in the log files but no luck. Wierd

However, I did burn a good gopy using Dvd Shrink 2 and Nero burn. With DVD Shrink I was not running any on the fly ripper in the background. This is just one of several times I've had this work out
