Some newbie questions

After I've copied a DVD file to my HDD, I use the "Import DVD" button under File, correct? Then click on "Video Title Set" to view the various chapters? Why does the start of a cut say "cut to here" and the end cut "cut from here"? Would have been easier if it just said "start here" and "end here". Once, I've made my edits, how do I save them to another file or within the program itself? Many thanks.

You may want to download the manual to get familiar with the program. 'cut to/from here' mean just that. 'cut to here' means to cut a portion of video from beginning of block to the current position. 'cut from here' means to cut a portion of video from current position to the end of block.
