|
|
| Hi, anybody experiencing problems when burning DVDs exported from 2.3.0 Pro using Nero? I just started seeing this problem with 2.3.0 on multiple DVDs. Nero(6.3.1.15) complains that "DVD-Video files reallocation failed". I haven't seen this error with my previous version 2.2.1. Test export seems OK with 2.3.0, but the same project regularly exported produces that error in Nero. I tested with simple export with no modifications to the DVD, the problem is still there. I don't know if it really causes any problems on the standalone player, I just tried to burn one DVD and it seems to play, but I didn't check the whole movie nor any extras. Thanks, Robert Nero log: UDF/ISO compilation 1:40:59 #1 Phase 112 File dlgbrnst.cpp, Line 1845 DVD-Video files reallocation started 1:40:59 #2 DVDREALLOC -24 File DVDVideoCompilation.cpp, Line 1177 One or more files (mostly VOB file(s)) do not belong to the corresponding IFO file 1:40:59 #3 Phase 115 File dlgbrnst.cpp, Line 1845 DVD-Video files reallocation failed |

| Thanks for report, we will take a look. As a workaround (till we figure out what is going on) you may set some large cut off intervals for test export (say 3000) and use test export for the export. |

| Are you working on an original or on an already ripped disc. Maybe the problem is already on the original. I this case you've already burned the disc, but if your out of RW, and don't wanna throw away a buck, you can always run your export through DVDPlay in IfoEdit first. Closest thing I could find to a real stand-alone. Other software players tend to be more forgiving. |

Hi RH, welcome to the forums it looks as if there are extra VOB's somehow judging by the Nero report I do take it the export folder didn't have any old VOB's in so if you have time you could export the whole DVD again and check that the VOB's are exactly the same size and amount. Maybe you can see what is causing it by this. If they are the same size and amount the maybe a set of the original & exported IFO's would help Dimad (along with a logfile) to soon find what the problem is @Mirx, try Mark's DVD Tray player as it's a little more user friendly than Ifoedit's player but just as good for diagnostics. There is a thread somewhere in this forum about it |

| I got that error also for some reason for a while. I'm sure it was codec related but I never really got round to finding out how I got it to work again, though it may have been when I was playing with codecs |

| Marks player didn't work under WinXP for me until I changed the properties to make Win98 compatible. It works now. |

One or more files (mostly VOB file(s)) do not belong to the corresponding IFO file | I'm getting the exact same error with Nero 5.5.10.56 after exporting. In addition, still menus don't display properly anymore. The DVD was "Red Dragon" (Bonus DVD) German R2 PAL. There are motion video sequences in the menu followed by still menus in several places. I only see the button highlights in the still menus, background remains black or white. When I make some selection and then jump back to the menu using menu key, it displays OK. This is all using WinDVD 6 off of my hard drive. |

| @RB 1) There is a 2.3.1 available. Could you please try it. 2) Do you do any editing? Any differences when you export without editing? 3) Do you still have an older version of DvdReMake (2.2.0, 2.2.1) on your computer? What about disk exported by it? If it is different from 2.3.0 can you send a zip with all three sets of ifo files: original, exported by 2.2.0 and by 2.3.1 Thanks. |

| RB wrote: | | The menu(s) in question is in VTS_01_0.VOB which I again didn't touch, DVD-RB doesn't touch menus too, as you know. Still a binary compare shows a huge amount of differences between the original and exported menu VOB. | The differences should be only in nav-packs (can you check this - simple way to do it would be to use VOBRator or VobEdit to split vob into streams and compare these files)? Can you send a zip with nav-packs from both versions of the vob file? About menus. Are use sure it is not due to your editing? Can you export without editing? Just to make sure. And also, try using "test export" with cut intervals set to some large value (say 3000) instead of regular export. |

| For the menu part, you might wanna try the old MenuEdit way to fix it incorrect linkings between the IFO's and the VOB. Do this on your DVDRemake created files. - Make backup of all your ifo's and your menu vob. - Open the menu ifo in IFOEdit - Select "Menu Extra's" - Select the options “Strip VobID’s”, "Correct Vob-Unit”, and “Correct original IFO files”. - Select a different directory then your original VIDEO_TS to save the new ifo. - De-select “AutoCopy Menu-files to destination”. - Press "OK" - In the next screen select “Check all” and “Correct IFO tables”, and click “Strip It”. - A new ifo and menu VOB will now be generated. - Copy the IFOEdit .ifo, .bup, .vob to your DVDRemake VIDEO_TS - In the DVDRemake VIDEO_TS, open the "VIDEO_TS.ifo" in IfoEdit, and do a "Get VTS sectors" - Try it out. Probably won't work, but this way the nav packs get rebuild. There used to be screen of this on the old MenuEdit web-site, but I couldn't find them on the new web-site. But it's pretty simple, so without pics as reference you should still be fine. You could also try first copying the original menu to your DVDRemake folder and then running this procedure. With any luck, the ifo's will get rebuild in a way they will accept the original menu. |

@Dimad I downloaded 2.3.2 today. Looks like it fixed the problem Nero was complaining about (tested with 1 DVD) But it still doesn't work for me With another DVD (BUTTERFLY_EFFECT_THEATRICAL, no modification), all the VTS*IFO and VTS*BUP files are missing in the export directory. Again, the test export is writing all the files properly. Another smaller problem I see is following: open existing project, export, close project, and now DRP pops up a dialog box asking about saving changes to the project, although no modification to the projest has been done. But if test export is used instead the regular export, no question is asked upon closing the project. Thanks, Robert |
