|
|
Hi, I used dvdremake to edit out all of the stuff I didn't want from a dvd (removed french audio, extra features, hid buttons etc) and it worked fine and the files played well on vlc. The problem is the dvd for some reason has a ton of menu files (a set in Video Manager and a set in VTS 1) that are all very similar and I accidentally forgot to hide some of the buttons on some of the files because they were on the 2nd program in the PCG's when on the others they were in the first program.
Now when the dvd starts it goes to the menu and the buttons are there, and if you click them they obviously don't work. Then after the menu has played all the way through the menu comes up again, but it is a different menu from the first (doesn't include a little intro thing), and it has the buttons hidden because it is one of the PCG's that I edited.
The thing is, when I went back and hid the buttons on the PCG's that I had missed, it outputs the files and the dvd is unable to play on vlc or windvd. I have no idea what to do about it, and have never had a problem like this before with dvdremake. It doesn't show any errors or anything before I export the dvd. Also, I tried to just re-edit the whole original dvd9 again with all of the buttons correctly hidden and that didn't work either.
Anyone know what I can do to fix this? The movie is Signs by the way. Thanks in advance. |

Hi and welcome to the forum.
What version of DRMP are you working on? Try simulating in the debug player and see if the problem still exists after you have hidden some unwanted buttons. Make sure all instances of the same menu have that same button hidden.
Also, as a different test, you can do a test export with nothing's edited and see if everything plays correctly. |

Thanks for the suggestions! I'm using version 3.6.1 and I tried hiding the unwanted buttons and it played fine in the debugger. Then I tried exporting a test dvd with nothing edited and it wouldn't play either. Pretty weird stuff.
I even tried editing the original dvd9 the same way instead of re-editing the already edited one and that test dvd wouldn't play either. I think I'll try burning it to an rw and see if it will play on my dvd player, although I'm sure even if it does it will have issues with others. |
