Move Total Recall NTSC region1 DvdReMake Pro verions 2.3.0 and 2.3.1 After using DvdReMake to hide extras and menu items, then exporting movie. Current version DvdShrink opens movie ok but crashs with "out of memory, invalid parameter" when attempting to shrink it. Same movie and processing works fine on ver 2.3.3. Question

I can confirm these findings. I've reverted to my last stable version 2.2.3 DVDReMake log shows only import VTS "X" and Export OK. DVD Shrink 3.1.7 imports fine, immediately upon clicking backup. Error Msg. Out of Memory pops up and closes app. Checking directory of ReMake Export, all file sizes look/appear normal in size to the original file sizes of kept content. No other info available to submit unless you want to compare original vs. exported. Advise if necessary. NowWhereWasI

If you have a binary files compare utility (f.e. http://www.hexcmp.com/) try comparing files. If not - please send zip with ifos (original, exported by 2.2.3 and exported by 2.3.0). Thanks.

CloneDVD 2.0.8.4 also fails. The error is: CloneMap 2 TCE Not that is say much to me, but maybe to others. Also CloneDVD cannot estimate disk size.

I will attempt to do the comparison test tonight and submit the results, in the morning for you to analyze. Thanks N.

DimadSoft, I tried a few quick tests with 2.3.1. Some seemed OK, then I found one that exhibited the “out of memory” error, and a couple that Shrink wouldn’t even import. Comparing 2.2.3 export with 2.3.1 export for the “out of memory” example (didn’t try 2.3.0) --> used same source and same edit. -- export files same size in Windows Explorer -- Shrink reports different sizes on import (doesn’t see the edited VTS from 2.3.1 properly) -- file comparisons show vobs are identical -- file comparisons report differences in VIDEO_TS.ifo and in the VTS_XX_0.ifo (the title modified for testing). Can’t do any more right now, but hope this narrows the hunt down a little. Paul

It looks like we've found what is wrong. Thanks everyone for the info. Bug affects DvdReMake Pro 2.3.0 and 2.3.1. It is related to "update export" changes - had some unexpected side effects. As a work around use "test export" with some large cut intervals (can be set in Tools/options) to export disks. this way old export procedure will be used. 2.3.2 should fix the problem. We are doing some final checks at the moment and will release it soon. Sorry, for troubles.

Version 2.3.2 Not sure it’s right yet. I compared exports for v.2.3.2 to v.2.2.3 --> same edit to the same multi-title test disk. I did the v.2.2.3 export first to one folder, closed DRM without saving project file, and then performed a v.2.3.2 export to a different folder so I could compare files. The v.2.3.2 export generated the correct vob files and VIDEO_TS.ifo file, but only generated the ifo file for the title that was edited. The ifo files for the other titles were missing. Paul

The behavior described in the previous post is probably just part of a larger problem. Exports from version 2.3.2 had missing ifo files under any circumstance I tried (fresh projects or repeat exports). Paul

Got same problem. Seems that when I export it's using the "Update Export" function. So that only edited files are exported. If I then copy the missing ifo & bup files from the original source everything is fine. UPDATE: All seems fine in 2.3.3 Very Happy
