Introduction of iPod formats.

iPod shuffle compatible formats:

Audio support: MP3 (8 to 320 Kbps), MP3 VBR, AAC (8 to 320 Kbps), Protected AAC (from iTunes Store, M4A, M4B, M4P), Audible (formats 2, 3, and 4), WAV, and AIFF.

Video support: No.

Photo support: No.

iPod nano compatible formats:

Audio support: AAC (16 to 320 Kbps), Protected AAC (from iTunes Store), MP3 (16 to 320 Kbps), MP3 VBR, Audible (formats 2, 3 and 4), Apple Lossless, WAV, AIFF.

Video support: No.

Photo support: Syncs iPod-viewable photos in JPEG, BMP, GIF, TIFF, PSD (Mac only), and PNG formats.

iPod compatible formats:

Audio support: AAC (16 to 320 Kbps), Protected AAC (from iTunes Store), MP3 (16 to 320 Kbps), MP3 VBR, Audible (formats 2, 3 and 4), Apple Lossless, WAV, AIFF.

Video support: H.264 video, up to 1.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per sec., Low-Complexity version of the H.264 Baseline Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48 kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; H.264 video, up to 768 Kbps, 320 by 240 pixels, 30 frames per sec., Baseline Profile up to Level 1.3 with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48 kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; MPEG-4 video, up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per sec., Simple Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48 kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats.

Photo support: Syncs iPod-viewable photos in JPEG, BMP, GIF, TIFF, PSD (Mac only), and PNG formats.

How to put/transfer ipod files to ipod using iTunes.

Step 1: Free download iTunes from here.

Step 2: Connect your ipod to pc. Launch iTunes.

Be sure the "Manually manage music and videos" is not checked.

Step 3: Click "File->Add File to Library...." to choose iPod files which you want ot transfer to your iPod.

Step 4:Click "Movies" in the "LIBRARY" to see the files you have added just now, right click the file -> Get info to set your video info.

Step 5: Choose "File->Sync "ipod" to update your iPod.

Ok, done! Cool

To put DVD's onto my iPod, I often turn to Wondershare DVD to iPod Converter. As a Mac OS user, what I use is its Mac version. It's fairly powerful, practical and convenient to use. WORKS GREAT AND NEVEN LETS ME DOWN.

Not yet. sharewareguide.net is not the author of the mentioned tools. I need the author's homepage. The title thread is not fixed yet. You have 2 posts having the same title, each using different softwares.

Read special forum rule #7. You have too many parts using different software. They are not really related to achieve the final goal. Maybe you should split some of them apart.
