DvdReMake Pro is useful when removing half the content of a multi episode DVD.
If half the content is removed by using "Hide blocks after this..." or "Hide blocks before this" feature, the menu simply nicely reverts back to itself when trying to access an episode that has been removed.
This is great, however, this can only be done with some versions such as 3.4.1, not with version 3.6.1, and not with version 3.5.3.
DvdRemake Pro 2.6.2 for example also did not have this bug but version 3.1 did. |

Hi and welcome to the forum.
What do you mean the menu reverts back to itself when you hide the blocks? Hiding before and after does not alter the menu navigation in any way. Only when you actually delete the block does it affect if the button command is directly referencing the deleted block. In this case, DRMP automatically fixes the navigation for you.
When you're reporting something, always use the latest version first, 3.6.2. |

I don't know how to use DvdReMake Pro much and have used other programs instead, but have accidentally discovered something that versions 3.4.1 and 2.6.2 can do but not others.
I have no problem posting detailed instructions if that would help anyone:
1. Start DVDReMake Pro > File > Import DVD... > browse to the DVD folder (usually VIDEO_TS) > Select.
2. Click on Video Title Set 1, usually containing the bulk of DVD content.
3. In the right window multiple episodes are visible, lets say there are 8 episodes.
4. Right click on the last window of episode 4 > Hide blocks after this.
This effectively removes episodes 5,6,7,8 and reduces the size of DVD content by half.
5. File > Export DVD.
Versions 3.4.1 and 2.6.2 make a DVD that can be started and when you click on an episode link that is not there (5,6,7,8 ), the screen appears black then goes back to the main menu where you can select an episode that is available.
That's it, hope this helps, if it is something that is a bug.
Of course, it recently occurred to me to just delete buttons that lead to the episodes that are not there but either way, that's not important, if this can be done on your system with versions other than 3.4.1 and 2.6.2, than it's not a bug. Good luck. |

I understand your steps. But I fail to see where's the bug. |

I understand you're saying that steps as described work with other versions and not just Version 3.4.1.
The only other thing I used to do in addition to those steps is if the entire Video Title Set obviously contains content to be removed (such as warnings, disclaimers, coming attractions, introductory graphics, etc.):
Right click on that Video Title Set > Hide all blocks.
Thanks and good luck again. |

As I said before, you must use 3.6.2 when reporting a bug, if it is really a bug. What about all the missing versions that you fail to mention, 3.4.2 to 3.6 except 3.5.3?
You still haven't specify which operation produces the so-called bug. Which step are you talking about - step 4 when using 'Hide blocks after this'? |
