Solved Audio Sync Problems

In reply to ^^ It makes sense if audio timing is corrected and avimux does not modify srt timings.. Download subtitle workshop, load in the SRT and add the delay settings ' reported by avimux ' and save. I`m almost 100% that Subtitle Workshop is free download.

Gah - I'm a new user suffering from this audio sync problem too. I've tried using AVIMux_Gui as described in the initial post but to no luck. The file I'm trying to convert to DVD has a delay of 64 ms according to AVIMux, and I've tried converting it to one with a delay of 0 as recommended, but the resulting ConvertXtoDVD DVD still has the audio sync problems. I've tried burning the file with a delay of 64 ms with the 'correct audio problems' box checked and unchecked. I've tried burning the altered 0 ms delay file with the 'correct audio problems' box checked and unchecked. In all 4 resulting DVDs the same delay is present - how can I get rid of it? Is there somewhere I can download the earlier version of ConvertXtoDVD that apparently doesn't have this sync problem?

I think this topic should be added to the FAQ under 4. Sound issues. - audio delay Judging from the number of posts, its more useful than the other topics in audio delay. It certainly helped me.

I'm having major sync issues and it's driving me nuts. I read through this thread, got AVIMux, and no help. When I input my files to AVIMux, it shows 0ms on both audio tracks. If I go ahead and run the Mux, the file comes back as unuseable by CX2DVD. Small sync issues I've learned to live with, but I've got 5 different series now that the sound is ahead of or trailing the video by well over a minute. Plays fine on the computer using VLC Player. @ Eagle I had same problem with this series There is bug in video (DivX 5.2.1) not in CxD for example I'm demux all streams with MKVextractGUI [a4e]Hanaukyo_Maid_Team_La_Verite_12[divx5.2.1].mkv movie time: 23min 26secs video: 24mins 48 mins audio: aac 23min 26secs audio: aac 23min 26secs sub: SRT sub: idx (songs only) sub: idx (all) when I try open with VirtualDubMod display error [!] MKV: The video may have a variable framerate. If so we strongly advise you to use another tool to safely process your file. I use TMPGEnc with Haali Media Splitter (turn off VSFilter) to recode [a4e]Hanaukyo_Maid_Team_La_Verite_12[divx5.2.1].mkv file, video only (save as avi XivD) and remux with mkvmergeGUI Its was pain in the BUTT do it 12 times

I've since discovered that to sort a problem with error message "warning Estimated Duration of the video was inaccurate. Output size may greatly differ from target size." all that I needed to do was convert said AVI file to MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 format using a video conversion tool and then convert said .mpg file.

I have now used this method many times and am confident in saying that it works perfectly every time.

Unfortunately I'm having a delay sync issue when converting video(s) to DVD.

I did squeeze another of the same on at the time on a standard DVD-R disk (good quality media), it was only a test to begin with and my first time using CX-DVD anyway just to see where it stands, only a slight loss in quality. I may stick with one video file per disk but that's not important.

The original files play fine.

If you helpful people wouldn't mind to take a look to then please do.

Hi,

Avi-Mux GUI works great on .AVI file.

Never used it with a .MKV file.

Are you using v2.2.3 ???

If you are still out of sync, it may take a few conversion, but right-click on the audio stream and try to find the proper XX ms offset to fix the issue.
