Is it any wonder I am now seriously considering dumping my computer and going back to a more quiet and untroubled life... ? I seem to spend all of my computer time doing nothing more than sitting for hours trying to solve an endless series of irritating little problems with downloaded software. And nothing seems to be improved with regular enforced clean-installs of my hard drive down at the local PC shop. I really am just about ready to give up the struggle and mothball the PC at the back of the garage. How much punishment can one take before finally conceding defeat for the sake of preserving what is left of ones mental health... ? Would someone please tell me what the hell this is all about - and how I can repair whatever it is that is causing all these error notices... ? Bear in mind that only 4 days ago I received my computer back from the PC shop. And I'm still looking for the answer as to why it is that my Incredimail animated email notifier only works on rare occasions. The Incredimail staff have not responded to my 4 messages to them.

Oh I can relate to that I think we have all felt that way at one point or another. But the more problems you get the better you get at solving them and eventually they are no longer problems. I would be lost without my computer I do just about everything on my includeing Christmas shopping. But I can remember nights wanting to launch my pc off the balconly. Thank Goddness I never did it though. Rolling Eyes Very Happy

Hi Tatanic. That takes me back to the xmas of 95 when I first swirtche don my p233 pc and nothing happened!! months of stalking my more knowledagle friends helped me get to grips with this mighty OS ( sigh It was a nightmare ) Maybe if you are having issues you could post some of the problems in our general hardware forum where users can help if they have experienced issues. I wonder if the local PC shop id actually helping you at all as all this money spent is not helping you! As Photoangel points out - every problem encountered is another step towards fixing them! Just remember we have all been there at some point.

I can remember nights wanting to launch MYSELF off the balcony... The only thing that stopped me is that I live on the ground floor. Cool

Thanks SirQUK. Very Happy

It's been a year now, and I'm a lot better at operating the computer now.

Attending an evening course of Anger Management also helped a lot. And with the medication I'm now on I don't give a rat's arse if the computer blows up!! -- I'll still be sitting here with glazed eyes and a fixed smile on my face.
