I just bought and downloaded DVD 1:1 and tried 3 time to copy Metropolis onto a DVD+R DL and keep getting an error code at exactly 50%. The error is Disk full while accessing C:\document\........\temp\metropolis_USA_NTSC.img
I just want tomake a copy of this movie and have spent 2 days ,6 disks and 2 different softwares and still do not have the copy.
any help would be appreciated

I would think it is one of two things if not both.

1. The hard drive doesn't have enough space to temporary store the DVD backup.

2. There may be a scratch in the right area of the DVD to cause an error.

No Idon't think so 40 gig HD with les than 50% used and the DVD is pristeen. It feels like a software issue... I will try another movie to see if I get the same error code

so if youve wasted 6 disks ,the error occurs during burning.

what burn engine are you using? the built in or nero?

I don't care how cheap the DL discs may be, but I would have given up after the second coaster: 6 discs + time wasted=more than a second retail copy of the original.

Try ripping as an image without compressing and burn to a DL. It may work.

its been a while
no problems here...

the ripper seems to be much more robust than others available,it requires only a fraction of the updates other rippers do.
