I heard that i have to convert the saa to srt. Is this true and is there any free software that can do this? And after i have converted the saa to srt is ther any extra steps that i have to do?

yes im using the latest version. I tired Burning my files to dvd but the subtitles are too low when i watch them on my tv and they dont look anything like the subtitles that i see when i played the files on my computer they are unreadable on my tv. And whoops i made typo they're in .ssa

Well from what I understand, .SRT subtitles are plain text.

So all the settings set in ConvertXtoDVD will be supported.

When you use .SSA / .idx-.sub / etc... the size, the color, the position are all hard coded IN the subtitles.

So I guess for now, VSO just loads the subs and use those hardcoded settings.

If you do convert them to .SRT, then you can manage them more, change he size and move them up a little.

Based on stuff I have read, since I almost never use subs, and I guess I'm lucky, everytime I used subs, they were perfect

Ok but how do i change them to .srt and after that's done how do i move them around? Sorry for all the questions im new to this. And what is the difference between soft-subs and hard-subs?
