PostPosted: Sun Jan 28, 2007 4:52 am    Post subject: No Sound When Converting SWF Files Reply with quote

I'm trying to convert some SWF files with ConvertXtoDVD. (if it helps they are specifically videos form http://multimedia.insidetheropes.com/video_list.shtml) The video converts fine but I get no sound on the resulting DVD. I noticed when I right click on the sound channel and select play audio in ConvertXtoDVD I get a dialog box that says "There is no available decoder for this audio format. During conversion, this audio track will be voided." Does this mean I need to download something to get the sound channel to work? If so what? The sound plays fine when the SWF files are viewed in the flash player. Any help is appreciated.

Hello,

Try converting the swf file to avi and then use convertxtodvd to make your dvd.

A free converter is available here

http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Multimedia_and_Graphics/Misc__Graphics_Tools/Swf_Avi_Convert____Free_Converter___.html

Download Swf Avi Convert :: Free Converter :: 1.0

good luck

ConvertXtoDVD is not reconizing the audio in your input file.

Here's 1 .flv files that I have and it works great, since the audio is MP3

Thanks for the help. I've sent an e-mail, hopefully its something that can be easily fixed. Converting it to AVI with that program did not work as the AVI did not have sound either.

Hello,

This is the information that was just added to the bug report by the main developper:

"Sound play only on flash player, support of this sound may take a while..."

Yes, well I haven't actually tried it but it still says Audio 0 Streams when I load a video so I assumed it wasn't working yet.
