Newbie to DVDReMake and I have an issue maybe a more experienced member can help me with.

After replacing the menu background I am finding that none of the menus work.

All the commands and such are the same, but the original works find while the new menu exported disc only flashes the menu when I press the button and then I get playback without audio.

When run on PowerDVD and Media Player the menus seem to work fine.

I get this message when I run the debugger.

Importing DVD...
Read DVD from: D:\DVD Remake Pro 3.6.1\Projects\RC Project\VIDEO_TS
Read VMG
Read VTS1
Cell #4 has cell command #1 yet there is only 0 commands awailable in cells command table. Substituting with 0. (2102:PGC.cpp)

Where did I go wrong and how can I fix this? The menu backgrounds are a different size now if that has any bearing....

hi zinjo,

* different behaviour on DVD player and powerdvd can easily happen. don't worry bout that! (meaning: correct playback on powerDVD is a good indication that DVD player playback SHOULD be ok, but it's by no means a guarantee!)

* the menu issue sounds odd...
which function do you use? 'replace with still...' or 'replace block...'??
make sure the sub-picture stream is enabled after background replacement, since this contains the menu highlight ('replace block' function might set this to off!)

what's the 'still time' for the replaced menu? if less than 'infinity' then there must be control commands in the menu's post command to keep looping until a button is pressed!

and just to be safe i would export menu buttons before background change and re-import after! (normally not necessary for 'replace still'...but who knows...!)

Welcome to the forum, Zinjo.

Your problem is just too common. Read THIS first, especially the last sentence.

You replace one menu and none of the menus work? Rolling Eyes

Is this from the original or from DvdReMake output?

This is a dead giveaway if you don't see this upon first import but after you reimport the DvdReMake output. There are other things that go wrong too.

You'd better check your system for spyware and viruses as it installs 2 files into your system32 directory.

Subpicture stream is already enabled in the IFO, 'Replace block' does not touch the IFO portion, only the VOB content that includes the actual subpic stream.

It is not necessary. 'Replace with still' does not touch the button info, only the background.
