Hi,
ConvertXToDVD has worked perfectly for me, until this one .ogg file. (In fact, it was a series of 4 seemingly identically-encoded files, the first 2 of which converted fine, and the last 2 failed.)
The file in question is .ogg container, with the video stream converting fine (if I disable audio streams, I get no error). But the Vorbis audio streams causes the error (see log below). Should I submit a bug report or is it a known problem?
Also, whatever the reason, what is the best way to get around this? I extracted the audio and video streams using OGMDemuxer (in ogg and avi formats). So I guess I should convert .ogg audio to something else -- what is the recommended final format and conversion software to use?
I suppose I can then attach the new audio to the original avi file, or maybe even leave it in the same folder if ConvertXToDVD can handle external audio streams.
Thanks so much.

I don't think this is normal !
Know nothing about vorbis audio, but surprised it says 0 kb/s
Show us a conversion log of the one that worked !
See if it says 0 kb/s or something else ! |

which software would you recommend to convert ogg->mp3? i looked on download.com, but none of the popular products had good user reviews..
and is there any way i can test if the ogg/vorbis audio has any errors in it? i don't want to submit a bug report, if the problem is actually inside the ogg file..
ty! |

It does show 0 kb/s even if it works. The log below is cut off because I intentionally cancelled it, but if left alone, it completes successfully.

Problem "solved": after I extracted the avi and ogg streams from the original ogm file, and repackaged them back into mkv format, everything worked fine.
However, I still don't know if the original problem was caused by a bug in the ConvertXToDVD software, or in some minor mistake in the format of the ogm file. |

mmoroz..
Normally, the .OGM files are supported in the latest ConvertXDVD version.
Is it possible for you, to send us your OGM file in your ftp, for testing purpose. We've OGM files which were converted without any problems
Perhaps, your OGM file structure is corrupted.
Best regards, |

most likely OGM file is corrupted in some way
you can use VitrualDubMod open ogm and repair it
VitrualDubMod is good with ogm files too |
