My CD drive is not able to read any recordable CDs. It tries to spin it but then it stops. It tries many times until and then finally stops trying. It can read normal CD-ROMs properly and also rewritable CDs. Don't know why its not able to read any recordable CDs. This has been happening for a long time. So I was just using the CD Drive on my PC(wireless network). But now I want to install another operating system on my laptop. I can't use my PCs CD drive in this case.

Is this a problem that can be solved? Or do I need to get a new drive?

Ah, I guess this forum isnt active anymore. Sad Well I am going to the store now and I will let them see what the problem is. I guess I will have to replace the drive with a new one. Sad
