hello all,
I have a hp dvd writer 530r and before i updated the firmware i was able to burn at 1x. now that i updated to the vpsg firmware it shows that the slowest i can burn is 2.4x. i tried that but close to the end of any of the movies i burn they all start to skip. a friend of mine told me to update the aspi drivers so i did to the 4.71 and now with any of my burning software it show that the slowest i can burn is 4x can anyone tell me how to get back to burning at 1x plz |

| I am just a newbie on DVD burners, but i do know that you need to make sure you are using 70 wire IDE cables, versus the older 40 wire types. You can get them for 2.00 a piece + S+H at newegg.com. You should also state what version of Windows you are using, your processor speed, and amount of memory. as all these relate to slow burning. If you are concerned about ASPI, i assume you must be running Windows 9x or Me I think the lastest for 98se or Me is 4.71.2. Hope this helps. |
