The installation routine is nice. | Whitespliff wrote: | | Are all PAL & NTCS mxp files the same (besides the fact that you have to change the absolut path in them)? | There's a minor difference. Most important is the format. The Standard field is either PAL or NTSC. I notice you have the Size=1658934. This is PAL 32-bit BMP. From what I gather: Size=1658934 (PAL) 32-bit 720x576 Size=1244188 (PAL) 24-bit 720x576 Size=1382454 (NTSC) 32-bit 720x480 Size=1036828 (NTSC) 24-bit 720x480 And MuxMan documentation says "Size is not required, if present it may be used to verify that the referenced file has not been modified." From my tests, I notice it does not matter if the Size is wrong or if it is deleted. The VOB output is still the same size. Probably b/c this is bitmap rather than video? So I would remove this field just in case. |

Auto mode is good, but you still have to select the mxp file and press start. What would really speed things up is adding the Batch mode. For every BMP existed and defined in muxman.ini, run MuxMan in batch mode. One click and all BMPs are processed in an instant. Hotkey would be nice too. |

Does this happen to everybody? | Quote: | | What would really speed things up is adding the Batch mode. | Working on that. | Quote: | | Hotkey would be nice too. | Suggestions? | Quote: | | it does not matter if the Size is wrong or if it is deleted. | Ok, new version removed the Size thing. MuxMan should select mxp files on it's own now. |

Much better now. During installation, it asks if I want to overwrite current settings and delete all files and folders, well it does delete all files except BMPs and folders. Is it supposed to be this way? Well, I prefer for it to not delete the BMPs. Could you add an option during the installation whether the user wants PAL or NTSC before the mxp's are created. It saves time for NTSC user having to modify the mxp afterwards. |

Well, I prefer for it to not delete the BMPs. | It should delete the folders + subfolders you designated as destination, all mxp files, ini file, muxman.exe, muxman_auto.exe, muxman_single.exe, the ico file & the desktop link. If your bmp's are in a subfolder of your destination folder they will be deleted as well. I should add a warning for that probably | Quote: | | Could you add an option during the installation whether the user wants PAL or NTSC before the mxp's are created. It's not needed. |

Just a note on installation, when it asks to overwrite current settings, if I say yes it deletes the audio?.bmp and extra?.bmp but leave the root?.bmp and sub?.bmp alone. I thought it would leave ALL bmps alone. I don't think "overwrite current settings" supposed to ask for destination folder and where bmps reside. How 'bout make it 2 type of installations: 1) full installation as it is right now - overwrite current settings, and 2) update where it just overwrites the executables and keep everything else as is. |

|
| - v0.8b has the option to do a fresh install or just an update* - after installation user can choose what to do from there - user gets a warning when the destination folder is about to be overwritten if it's not empty - minor cosmetic fixes * If MuxMan is installed in the same folder as it's previous version & if the INI file is present, otherwise it will run as a fresh install. |
