Okay, I got everything to work using the demo version of PhotoDVD with around 95 pictures, so I'm ready to go ahead and buy the full version of PhotoDVD. However, I plan on making a slideshow containing several hundred pictures with around 2 gigabytes of data. When I tried to make a similar presentation with PowerPoint, my computer crashed before I even got to 1 gigabyte of data. I know the DVD has enough space, but I guess my computer doesn't have enough memory to handle such a large file. Will the same thing happen with PhotoDVD? If so, is there a way to separate the slideshow out into smaller more manageable files that would play consecutively but seamlessly on the DVD? |

Hi there, I have 1 DVD that has around 975 pictures and it does it like a PRO. 3 tracks of audio, and 1 Filename Subtitle track The author of PhotoDVD did a few tests in the past, with about 2000 pictures and it all went smooth. All you need is patience, and let do it's job |

| Hi, Well PhotoDVD isnt the handicap it is your machine (as you already know) Go ahead and try and make a bigger slideshow but it may crash too with PhotoDVD if you do not have enough memory. The next major version of PhotoDVD should allow you to make serveral slideshows (no matter what size-not too big for your case) and add a menu so you can burn them all to dvd. The bad thing is I dont know how soon version 3 or PhotoDVD will be ready. |
