Is it possible to replace the Entire movie section only with a compressed version using CCE, while keeping the original Menu's. Example: Original Alien main movie is VTS_02_1.VOB to VTS_02_6.VOB VTS_02_0.VOB (menu) CCE version is VTS_02_1 to VTS_02_5 I've been trying to use the replace block method, then loading the first vob from the cce version, this works ok, but I'm unable to load the 2nd vob to complete the task, it goes though the motion but doesn't show. I would normally use dvdshrink, but that fine with 85%+ compression, but this movie will require 70%. So I used dvd-dvdr to process the main movie minus 250 Mbytes needed for my menu's. Does anyone understand what I'm saying and trying to do here Very Happy

I dont exactly know how CCE works but could you edit the DVD first with DvdReMake then process it with CCE? So you can load VTS_02_01 but not VTS_02_02? If so, does CCE have the ability to spit out one big VTS_02_01? Then maybe DvdReMake would be able to see the entire VOB for you to 'Replace'. Seems like then DvdReMake doesnt have the capability to span the seperate 1GB VOBs. I could be wrong though, just a thought...

I know what you want Wink as long as it's a single PGC movie then you could use the remux feature of Ifoedit to replace the movie part you need to make sure that the CCE VOB's contain the same amount of VOB ID's and cell ID's when you try to replace something. You could just join all the files using a I learnt the hard way as I picked a multi PGC movie when I played with CCE for the first time but I learnt faster I guess Smile as mentioned it's best you DVDRemake the DVD first and then let other software's play with it after Hybrid's have normally been the best way to get the highest possible quality and retain menu's. I previously used IC & DVDShrink(sometimes DVD95Copy) when I made backups last year to get some great results that no other transcoder could match individually. If I wanted to use CCE for the main movie now keeping menu's, I would use DRM and strip direct from the DVD. Feed that into DVDShrink (or similar transcoder of choice) and reduce menu's/maybe extra's and remove audio/subs and then finally feed it into DVDRebuilder and let it CCE the movie. I don't know if DVDRebuilder does movie only though seeing as I've never used it Smile

Sqweeb, 1. Use CCE to compress 2. Then re-author it back to VOBS useing IFOedit 3. Create new IFO's using IFOedit 5. Use IFOUPDATE App to merge the IFO tables with your original MENU. DONE. Its Exactly what you want, use DVDremake if you want to remove stuff from the original menu. VidHack
