|
|
| Hey! I have the movie "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" (it is a present for a friend, if you wondered:P) and I edited it (with other programs) to replace some of the subtitle streams, because I needed a different language than the one I had on the actual DVD. So I actually demuxed, created the appropriate subtitles, remuxed it back and started authoring it to fit the original DVD settings (including menus, movie BOVs, navigation commands and all the rest). Now, the movie contains BOV on the movie itself (of course, the menu has buttons too, but I did not need to do anything about that). To show the buttons, it had 2 subpicture streams, that contained a pair of lips. Now, I added to those 2 subpicture streams (which contained those lips only, not other subtitles for the movie) the subtitles of the language I wanted to add, so even when I select the option to click those lips, I would still have the subtitles. (If you do not understand what I tried to do, tell me and I will try to make it clearer) So I actually modified the subtitle itself, like the actual images and re-encoded it to DVD subpictures. Now, if I select these subtitle streams to show when I play the DVD, it shows me the subtitles and those pair of lips at the places I set them on. I added a button set to those cells that had button sets in the actual DVD, set the highlight time to fit the highlight time of the actual DVD (even set it to longer times, so there will be no excuse for it not to work because of time-related problems) and exported a test version. When I select the button-related subtitle stream (or the option to have buttons, from the menu), it shows me the subtitles and the pair of lips when needed, but it is not being treated to as a button, I cannot click on it or do anything else, just, well, to view it as a subtitle. And I guess it does not highlight it as well (since it looks the same). Now, I tried to import it back to DRMP and it shows there are buttons, but still, when I play it, I just cannot select them nor activate them (yes, I have tried just click wherever, maybe the position is wrong, but not, it is like no buttons are defined there). Any suggestion to why is it not working? and how to fix it? Thank you. |

| I was hoping someone could help you with this one. You got it working yet? Maybe you can clarify on the BOV and the 2 subpicture streams muxing problem. What stream id contains the subtitle, and what stream id contains the lips? Or the lips is part of the subtitles? What muxtiplexor program do you use? Is this film widescreen or fullscreen? Probably an extract of the navpacks would help us see what's going on. |

| Button highlights are slightly different from subpictures. Did you set a highlight start, end time for BOV? What version of DRMP you are using? Earlier versions would not set needed highlight status flag. |

May be a little program that searches for BOV with no highlight status flag set and set it? Or any other way? Or changing some hex in the VOB code (which you would tell me what or where...)? Is it something you set through the VOB or the IFO\BUP? (My guess is that it is the VOB...) Thank you!

Is it a violation of the DVD specification or something, to include in the same sub-picture stream both the highlight mask and subtitles (And\Or both the lips and a regular subtitle at the same time on the screen)? Should it cause trouble with players? |

| It's better for DvdReMake (latest version) to set the highlight status flag in the VOB. |
