Hi, I've never been able to either copy or read (for future mount in Daemon-tools 4.03) this CD. The software always asks to put the CD in the drive. I had been using a NEC 3540, 3550 DVD burner. I just bought a Lite-On LTN 527T and decided to try it. The NEC would complete a read/copy but fail during activation of the program. The Liteon was/is taking forever no matter what I do. Here's what I've done: 1. Noticed in ControlPanel->System->Hardware->Primary IDE was set to PIO vice DMA. I checked the box that said let BIOS decide and reboot. I thought this had solved that problem but I now just noticed its set back to PIO. I'm sure this is why its taking so long but I don't know why its set back to PIO, I think it has something to do with all of the disc errors. (note, i've never had a problem running MATLAB with the real CD in the drive) 2. I've tried automatic profile as well as Bad Sectors. 3. The LiteOn has 5S0E as its firmware.

A-Ray scanner v2.0.2.3 shows SafeDisk 2/3. I just downloaded a SafeDisc 2/3/4 profile from Portmac.com and will try that next.

Now we are cooking with Crisco... in less than 10 minutes I've read 10k where as it took 8 hours to get up to 6k. Still don't know if it will work in DTools, or as a copy.

There's a .dll file available at the DT website that you can overwrite the old 1 in the Daemon-Tools directory with,to create support for BW6 images....

Thank you Gents...it worked like a charm. However stinkin' Matlab still prompts for an original disk!! I noticed something about EzPlay in this version of Blindwrite. I can't tell if it only kicks in when you burn a disc because I couldn't find any other way to "mount" the B6T file. Perhaps I need a better CDROM drive.
