Hi dalleigh Welcome to our forums. Are you trying to record protected audio files such as files with the .WMA file extension. Could you also supply us with the version number of nero you are using please.

Hello SirQUK I have down loaded some songs from napster paying 79p for each download. I have burnt them down only once and was trying to add these to others from my collection. But have noticed a symbol next to each that was previously burnt. If I disregard the previously used ones the burning process works ok.Can I only burn once???????????????

Welcome to the wonderful world of DRM (digital rights management), I have something thats supposed to assist with your problem, i'm not sure how well it works, I don't do the music downloads myself but I always stay on the lookout for things, and this is what I came up with durning a search, I know nothing about it other than it should help with your problem. http://www.cdr-zone.com/software/audio_recording/tunebite.html http://www.tunebite.com/

Thanks for your assistance. I've tried the 30 second demo and it encodes the file as .ogg. Do you know of any .ogg to mp3 converters? Thanks Again Darren

BeSweet can convert ogg to mp3. A good and easy to use GUI for BeSweet is BeLight: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/BeLight.htm. It's free too. Smile

I'm glad it got halfway there, but it does say it will do mp3 also as long as you have access to this file..lame_enc.dll. download thie file from here: http://cdr-zone.com/downloads/lame/lame_enc.rar Un-rar it and put it in the tunebite directory, it will open up the mp3 creation portion and let you choose between mp3 and ogg now.

When you open SmartStart, select a displayed option......audio,data whatever you want to burn, then a 2 pane window opens and you can add files to your project at the left window and burn them . If you're totally new to the wonderful world of burning, you better switch the Nero interface to Nero Express, much easier to use.....if you're more familiar with the program, you can still switch back...
