MOVIE ONLY DISC, FEATURES ONLY DISC & MULTI MOVIE DISC

HI I know these maybe stupid questions to most members here but I'm gonna go head-on with them anyway. There are 3 types of DVD copy / remake I wanna do: [A] MOVIE ONLY DISC plus relevant bonus features DIRECTLY RELATED to the movie - "DIRECTLY RELATED to the movie" means only useful when playing the movie thus I want to keep these - These include AUDIO COMMENTARY/IES for the movie, Pop-Up trivia tracks, branching, etc (you get the point!) - After excluding NON related stuff (to be done on a separate disc), I need to alter FEATURES menu page in accordance to this - I want the revised DVD to play the MAIN MENU by default, so I wanna get rid of rubbish like FBI/Copyright warnings, studio logo intros, etc! [B] BONUS FEATURES ONLY DISC (movie disc to be done separately) - I want to remove the BACK TO MAIN MENU link(& PLAY MOVIE link if it's there) & alter the FEATURES menu page in accordance to this - I want to remove some Non-English audio streams & alter the LANGUAGE/SET-UP menu page in accordance to this - I want to remove some Non-English subtitles streams & alter the LANGUAGE/SET-UP menu page in accordance to this [C] MULTI-MOVIE DISC e.g. 2-in-1, 3-in-1, etc - When played, the default main menu should give me a choice of the films on the disc - Only 1 English audio stream per movie - I need to reduce the audio stream from the original 5.1 to 2.0 to free-up DVD disc space - Only 2 subtitle streams per movie + Subtitle Off option - I assume it's a similar procedure to squeeze 2-disc sets into one disc, right? - Other than default still MAIN MENU showing the movies on the disc, I intend to put a scene selection menu for each movie if there’s enough space NOTE: - Some of my DVDs to be used for the above are CSS/RCE protected. - Most of the movies I have include a 5.1 DD or DTS track but not 2.0 stereo track. I tried to do [B] first but I don’t how to make the Video Manager to play the main SPECIAL FEATURES by default (First Play?). I’ve removed (deleted, I think!) the VTS that contained the movie. I still don’t understand about Pre-Command / Post-Command / Cell Command or PGC, blanking this, blanking that, etc! When looking at the domain tree, most of the items are RED which must mean I’ve screwed up big time! I get messages like: Reference to invalid VMG PGC>> Was it deleted? HELP!

Please do not cross-post in the other forum if you are asking the same questions. If you don't understand VM commands, then don't delete - just hide what you don't want. Search the DvdReMake forums for splitting dvds for A + B. Also, your DvdReMake copy is old. Please update to the latest version.

Hi The error log above came from GARFIELD Disc 1 which I copied to my HDD. However, POWERDVD seems to play it ok from my HDD and from the disc itself! I got no error from Disc 2 but I got error for Disc 3: Importing DVD... Read DVD from: E:\GARFIELD & FRIENDS - DISC 3 Read VMG The system cannot find the file specified. (171:dataAccess.cxx) Can't open VIDEO_TS.IFO. (955:VMG.cpp) can't load VMG. Attempt import from VIDEO_TS subdirectory... Read DVD from: E:\GARFIELD & FRIENDS - DISC 3\VIDEO_TS Read VMG Recovering C_ADT & VOBU_ADMAP tables. (692:VobData.cpp) Read VTS1 Recovering C_ADT & VOBU_ADMAP tables. (692:VobData.cpp) Again, I can still play Disc 3 from my HDD (& the disc itself) with PowerDVD. DRM & DVDSHRINK can't open the disc 1 + 3 but it's ok with disc 2. The reason why I screwed up must be in the explaination of DISC 1 + DISC DRM log ... hopefully! DIMADSOFT ... HELP!

What do you mean DRMP can't open disc 1 & 3 - based on this error: "Recovering C_ADT & VOBU_ADMAP tables"? That's unlikely. Were these 2 discs imported successfully even there's this error? This error message indicates there's a mismatch between the IFO's and VOB's pointers, so DRMP tries to recover cell info as best it can. Normally, you can just export it. Then test playback to make sure. A search through the forums show this error message has been asked several times. You can also try FixVTS first before importing to see if it helps. If you still have any problem, I highly suggest you update to latest version first before reporting. We're not going to troubleshoot if you insist on using old version.

Hi I tried using v3.5 latest one. I opened the saved MERGED project but when I click on some parts of the the DVD TREE, DRM crashes & disappear from the screen! Same applies to v3.4. I dunno if it's the DVDs I've chosen. I'm gonna try using other titles .. let u know later if that goes ok. CHEERS!

Hi again. Here's what I had in mind for "C": FIRST (default) MENU when disc is played (showing the choice of movies) / | \ Movie 1 Scenes Menu Movie 2 Scenes Menu Movie 3 Scenes Menu If I should use DVD Remake Pro, do I shrink the movies first or edit each movie with DVD Remake Pro first? I tried to use DVDREMAKE PRO v3.4 but it keeps DISSAPPEARING (I think you call it CRASHING!?!?) when I click of certain parts of the DVD TREE. Same happens with v3.5. If it doesn’t crash, when I Test Export or Export DVD, the first thing that plays is the first movie. When I press menu button, no menus (main or sub-menus)! And can anybody PINPOINT a website shows me how to change a movie's audio from 5.1 to 2.0 from a DVD with BESWEET? Some more questions about DVDREMAKE PRO: 1. Can you tell me how to make the 1st page of Scene Selection become the DEFAULT menu page when a disc is played? At the moment the VIDEO MANAGER – First Play says: Jump to VMG “title” menu [under Pre-Command tab] When I right-click the 1st page of scene selection, there’s an option to: goto PGC (en : PGC3 : c3) 2. How do you edit the first few seconds (or even half a minute) and end credits of the movie? I want to chop off the early rubbish like Studio Logo. I know how to do this in DVDSHRINK Re-Author Mode but no idea how in DVDREMAKE PRO. I mentioned before that DVD REMAKE PRO keeps disappearing when I click on certain parts of the DVD TREE. Well those parts are usually PGCs in MENU EN (main movie plus other parts of the DVD TREE). I dunno why! This is kinda annoying as I wanna edit the menus. I tried the goto PGC (en : PGC3 : c3) [mentioned above] but this makes the software disappear/close! I only managed to HIDE/DISABLED the audio / subtitle tracks that I don’t want plus the FBI warnings & some extras. That’s about it. Help ... AGAIN! CHEERS!

To merge disks you need to rip them to HD first. Do you do it? To remove part of a scene (like studio logo), just scroll preview to the end of a scene, right click and "cut to here".
