hi , i am in need of help, when i am trying to burn dvds on nero it keeps coming up as invalid block address what can i do , i can copy cd-rs no problem it is just dvds, recently fitted a new sony dvd rom , could this be the cause?[/b] Sad

Ok without a log its more dificult. What media are you using for DVD? I reason I also ask about filters is that some versions of the sonic burn engine installed with winamp and other software are known to cause serious grief with nero of l8.

hi i have been using brown tuff discs and bulkpaq silver i have been using the speed test before coping and it works but if i dont it wont copy thanks paul Confused

Thank you for the email you sent Smile As in Email, I believe your issues are due to poor archival media backup solutions you have been using. Cheap media seems a bargain until you realise 3 weeks down the line that it wont work anymore

SlackJacks: Nero should normally always create a log in good or bad burns. DavidMM: Please update Nero 7.0.0.0 whenyou can, Nero already admits version 7.0.0.0 has its share of problems. Also you might want to remove the ASPI.sys layer, it seems to be causing problems. Unless you are really using that driver, just remove it. psychoscope: It seems like the filter CDRALW2K.SYS might be causing some problems. We have a filter removal tool in the forum, just don't have the link handy here. Maybe by removing that you will see significant improvement.
