ramog, Alright, I used the program AVI_mux but for some reason it won't play in my media player, and it says that I'm missing a codec. What codec do i need? I'm pretty sure, I've got practically everyone thats important.
Make sure the option pointed to by the mouse pointer is NOT flagged. I found that only ZoomPlayer complained, so presumed it was pointless mentioning it Embarassed Hope that helps Rolling Eyes

yeah it was a playable avi which if u run through the program, will tell u if itl be in sync or not when converted. no codecs are missing, only had 1 avi that would be out of sync when converted but actual avi file isnt out of sync - some dvd converters can make episodes out of sync depending on how the avi was converted. just saves u some time thats all. oh and setting the aspect ratio to automatic makes it full screen by the way.

I followed the AVIMUX instructions as above and it totally removed all audio files from my original AVI. The avi went from 700 MB to 600 MB and had no audio. I followed this thread to a tee. It has worked on previous movies but not on this one?

this is what i've been looking for, i've had a few files where thw audio and video have started of in sync after conversion but then start to slip, i loaded 4 avi's that were planned to be converted with convertdivxtodvd. Avimux gave all 4 files a audio delay count of 0. however when the files were converted, to vob, the first plays fine but then slowly towards the end of each 40min avi, the audio is ahead. Any ideas oon what to do? thanks in advance

This helped me as far as the purchase of the equipment but when I finally made the first disk(using this program0 I had some shows out of sync. Anyway I ran them through this program and BLAM all better. Thanks for the advise guys.

The AVI Mux GUI has helped a lot of users, when the delay was different than 0ms. Now that said, v2.0.9.119 has changed/added the detection of Audio Discrepancies in the files, why for some users causes Out Of Sync issues, but the issue is with the input files. VSO are aware of thing, and are looking to see how they can change/modify the changes made to v2.0.9.119 to help users with those kind of files. Post us a full log when you tried to convert the problematic file. Also, if you have Out Of Sync issues still with v2.0.9 and in the log it says Stream Missing 24ms Audio (For example) VSO would be interrested if getting such files. Email --> claire_at_vso-software.fr and ask her for the FTP info, so you can provide VSO some problematic files. Without those, VSO can't reproduce the problem, therefore real real hard to fix !

I have just recently purchased ConvertXToDVD It says that it is version 2.0.9.119. I am having problems with the audio synching up with the video. I read on this thread that an older version (2.7?) doesn't have this problem, but I don't know where to download it from. I tried a link that (Tabby?) posted, but I got nowhere. Can someone help me? My Farscapes & Battlestar Galacticas are burning a hole in my computer, just waiting to come to life on my TV! P.S. This is my very first post, so HI everybody, and please be gentle --I'm new here!

With the new version I still get this message a lot of times: Audio discontinuity fixed at 480018,67 ms: 24,00 ms added. Is there a solution for this?

Hi, I just tried correcting a avi file to fix the sync problem. I used the AVI MUX gui program. My first question is that I wasnīt sure which link to download, the binary or the source. Next, in Mr Ramogīs post there was a third step "3) Click on the AVI info at bottom of Avi-Mux window" to see the delay values. I didnīt see that "AVI info at the bottom of the window" so I simply hit the start button and saved the new AVI file Next, I have just loaded the "hopefully" corrected file into ConvertXto DVD and went to put in chapter locations. I unchecked the "place chapters every "5" minutes and tried entering my own values, but when I hit OK the value jumps back to 5 minutes, and then when I enter the next chapter value, it always goes to 10 minutes. Hope someone can help me out. It sure has been a long road to figure this out but Iīm sure Iīll be learning a lot here at this forum--thanks everyone Orlando

Am I missing something? I do not see a "Generate Data Source From Files" button or AVI info at bottom of Avi-Mux window. I am using convertxtodvd versio 2.13 and have audio delay problems when converting tv episodes........I would love to fix this.

ok, not sure what the sync delay is but when i ran convertxtodvd it shew stream 0 (video stream) as 495ms or something from memory. The audio with video is ok (so I guessed they fixed the bug from february) but my subtitles ISN'T the first one at 2seconds IS in sync then you get the distributors logo (which I can't get rid of and is built into VTS_01_1.VOB. I did use dvd decrypter, selecting to remove macrovision and adverts, copyright's etc but it's still there; I'm not sure if that has something to do with it or if the video delay used for the audio sync issue has something to do with it, erm, help.. pretty please? + a cherry? Confused David
