| At the end of the VSO compilation I get the error message : Not enough room on the media. I use each time (3 times with new disk) 4x dvd+rw from RiData I'm on Windows XP and have a Sony burner DRX-71OUL At each time I confirm the erasure of the media when the DSO software asks for it. I'm using the last version of PhotoDVD 2.0.17.1071 with about 90 pictures |

| Hi there, Provide us more information, and a full log please... You convert how many pix ? how many music tracks ? Are you making it burn to DVD directly, or creating a VIDEO_TS directory then burning it manually after ? |

The average size of the pictures are about 1MB 90* 1MB = 90MB total I believe . 2 music tracks It's a burn2DVD direct. I do not know what you mean by 'full log' where is the log? Thanks for helping |

| Hi, You can find the log file here: C:\Program Files\VSO\PhotoDVD you can also write to VSO directly for help with this: http://download.vso-software.fr/vsorep.exe |

| Claire: The only thing I found under the crash.log file says: 1/8/2006 8:51:49 PM info ******************** Report session started ******************** That doesn't help me with my problem. It seems to me that the VSO software should verify the space needed before starting the production of the DVD. Anyway, I will check with the VSO adress you gave me. |

Hi there, I am looking for an answer for you, but I have no idea what could be going on ! Was that the full log ? *** Start Here *** up to *** Ends Here *** ? I have a project of 720 pictures, and 3 tracks of audio, and that fits on 1 DVD-R so there must be something going on ! Don't make it burn to the burner directly, create a VIDEO_TS directory on your HD, this way we know PhotoDVD will do it's thing, then we can deal with the burning issues later. | Quote: | | 1/8/2006 8:55:15 PM info Target : 16:0:0 - SONY DVD RW DRU-710A BYX4 [E] (Usb) | There is 1 firmware upgrade for your burner, that sometimes helps with new media, specially is those media are the new 16x media. | Quote: | | Firmware Upgrade Version BYX5 Improvements: Writing performance and reliability improvements. | That can be found here: http://sony.storagesupport.com/dvdrw/dru710adwn.htm#dwns Direct Download: http://sony.storagesupport.com/dvdrw/downloads/710FWBYX5/710A_BYX5.zip My 2 cents... |

| Hi, When using an RW media you will be prompted by any VSO Software product for your confirmation that the disc will be erased before rewritten on to.----so the erasing self managed. 2) To burn and already compiled file open PhotoDVD, go to "tools" and select first option, "burn an exisiting compilation", BTW I thought one of our programmers had responded to the thread already, I had one take a look a your problem a week ago. He told me that this is the first time he had seen such behavior from PhotoDVD. He thinks it is related to your burner, as the compilation will happen just fine. So have you burnt anything else recently to see if it is just photodvd or maybe a problem in gerneral with your burner?--sorry to have left you hanging in the dust, I thought that a reply fromp VSO had been posted. |
