Hello alexauwa and welcome to the forums. Please don't cross-post (posting the same message in more than one forum). You posted the same message in the CopyToDVD forum. Cross posting is against forum rules. The DVD-Video files must be in a directory called "VIDEO_TS" (must be all caps). Perhaps this is the problem. Some burning aps will create the VIDEO_TS directory for you and some don't.

The first thing the player does is look for the VIDEO_TS folder. If there isn't one, as far as the player is concerned, it's not a DVD-Video disc.

DVD-Lab should create a VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folder and put the DVD-Video files in the VIDEO_TS folder. Just make sure that you burn the folder with the files in it, and not just the files. All caps=all uppercase letters

thx mate, well i as i know dvd-lab, splits mpeg into mpa and mpv files. so the original mpeg are in the smae folder. i copied all file into the video.ts filder which is created when i start compele dvd... when finished dvd-lab detected non-dvd files in the video.ts folder and asked me to delete them. when i took a look all files have been deleted, even the mpa and mpv file. so stil started burning. while burning i saw the video and audio.ts folder created on the dvd on my dvd drive. when the burning process is complete and i checked again for the folder the disc was blank. so same error: bad disc so both folder to nero burn dvd files and burned them with all my mpeg, wav, mpa and mpv files. once all file in video.st and the all audio file copied in audio, which think was bullshit i tired in case. the dvd player cant read the dvd. i just dont know what to do? do i have a driver problem as i installed copytodvd. did they get massed up with my nero drivers? Smile pls help me out mate, i appreciate ur help

Confused Sorry I'm not sure that I follow you. After you are satisfied with your project in DVD-Lab, you hit the "Compile" button. A dialog then appears where you can specify an output folder. It is best if this folder is an empty one. When you hit the "Start" button, DVD-Lab will create two subfolders in this output folder, VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS, and will put the DVD-Video files for your project in the VIDEO_TS folder. VIDEO_TS will only contain *.IFO, *.BUP, and *.VOB files. When you burn the disc, you want the VIDEO_TS (and its contents) and AUDIO_TS folders only. If you examine your disc after burning, its root directory should contain the VIDEO_TS folder which contains the IFO, BUP, and VOB files, and the AUDIO_TS folder which will be empty.

Hi, I have the same problem except i think it may have been my own fault. the first time i used dvdlab i made a dvd with menus and movies and it worked fine. then i wanted to do another project so i foolishly deleted the .vob, .ifo, and .bup files. i then made a new project, and now it sails through compiling with no problems, but then when it comes to burning i get the same message; Video_Ts doesnt exist, has no vaild video files or some files are missing The dvdvolume folder is still created, with VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders, but both are completely empty. I've tried compiling in a new folder (e.g. dvdvolume2) but still it finishes and the folders are empty. ive also tried reinstalling dvdlab, not that it made any difference. can anyone help me with this please, i would be extremely grateful. can i download the 3 .ifo .vob etc files or anything?? cheers, fred

As long as you have saved your project and you still have all your assets (i.e. the source files you've used) your can re-open your project. Start a new project, in the wizard click on "Open recent project" and select the saved project file. You can then compile the DVD again. But it only works if all your assets are still in the same location where they used to be when you compiled for the first time. Make sure that you select an empty folder for compiler output. You will need to burn this folder to the DVD, including the resultant sub folders AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS and all the files in it. Smile

this is my problem unfortunately, regardless of the project and how many times i compile it to whatever folders, it still doesn't create any files in the output folder.

When you re-open the original project, DVD Lab shows all of your assets, movies and menus? When you compile the project, it should take 10 to 30 minutes, depending on your PC and HD speed. Have you tried to upgrade to the latest version of DVD Lab?

saying that, i am now experiencing exactly the same problem again. i have noticed that in the compile process it says "Source video vertical frame is not 480 or 576 pixels" in a yellow outline. i have so many short movies on the dvd i don't know where to start looking for the problem as the majority of them arent that size but have worked before. what shall i do? many thanks

In order to produce a working DVD you will have to encode all your video and audio assets to DVD standards first. You also have to decide whether you use NTSC or PAL encoding, as AFAIK you can't mix them on one DVD. You may mix anamorphic (16:9) and non-anamorphic (4:3) video on one disk, but they have to be in separate title sets (VTS). For further information and for video conversion guides I recommend http://www.videohelp.com.
