When using this function the audio is cut to early which results in a few seconds of video without audio. The 'cut to here function' does not have this problem. Hope you guys can fix this.

It is possible that some audio is cut with cut from here, but even in worst case it should not be longer then fraction of a second. Definetely not few seconds. Build-in player may stop audio playback somewhat earlier but try exporting and testing with some software player - should not be too bad.
