To our great surprise there are DvdReMake Pro users who don't know about "Merge DVD" functionality build into the program. In order to help (such) current and potential users of DvdReMake (Pro) we would like to implement "Tip of the day" in the programs. We would appreciate if you can share with us a sentence on: "What do you think is a useful feature of DvdReMake (Pro)?" Keep in mind what was said about "merge" above. Even simple and seemingly obvious things may be useful to some. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

OK, here's one: You can quickly hide menu transitions by right-clicking on a Menu Language Unit and selecting "Hide Menu Transitions". This will hide all menu blocks in the selected language unit that don't contain buttons. As much as I had used DvdReMake Pro, I didn't even realize that this function existed until I had to explore the user interface in depth for the user manual. |

If you have multiple menu Language Units, a player will match his prefered language, and play this menu. If there is no match between Language Units, and preferred language, the top Language Unit will be played. You can change the positions by right-clicking on the menu, and selecting "Move Up".
You can set "Prohibited User Operations", which limits the available actions a user can do, by right-clicking on a PGC, and selecting "Set prohibited operations".
If you go to any goto/link/jump command, right-click, and select "Open in new window" you have the same project in 2 windows. This can make copying commands to a different section of the disc or following routing a lot easier.
If you want to reuse video-content in multiple sections of the same VTS, use the "Substitute Block" feature instead of the "Replace Block" feature. This will prevent the same video-content from being placed twice on the disc. "Substitute Block" just links to the video-content, while "Replace Block" makes a copy.
If you encounter a disc where the first couple of blocks are blanks, it's probably a Sony Arcoss protected DVD. Never ever do anything to these blocks, because then playback will fail. Use a cell-command on the first cell to re-link it to the first cell with "real" video-content.
If you do something wrong, you have 2 options. Either use the "Back" button, or the "Restore Block" option. The "Back" button is the preferred option, as "Restore Block" will bring back the block to the original block, and removes ALL changes done to that block. The "Back" button will only remove the latest change. |

You can use Ctrl+F6 to cycle through open projects.
You can turn on audio (MPEG or AC3) or subpictures during preview of the block in Domain Content View by selecting needed stream (not track!).

If you cannot see the graphics for a menu button because the button numbers are covering it, you can press and hold the F6 key to temporarily hide the button numbers and red rectangles. The overlays will reappear when you release the key.
If the size, position, or track indicators are covering something that you would line to see in the preview window, you can press and hold the F6 key to temporarily hide them. The indicators will reappear when you release the key.
If the size, total time, or other indicators are covering something that you would line to see in the preview blocks of the Domain Content View, you can press and hold the F6 key to temporarily hide them. The indicators will reappear when you release the key. |

Every link/jump/break command will cause the player to go to that value and not perform any of the other commands. example (pre-commands):- if [R1=1] link program 1
- if [R1=2] link program 2
- if [R1=3] link program 3
- highlighted_button=1024
If command 1,2 or 3=true then 4 will not be executed. Took a while before I figured this out |

Right-click actions in Domain Content Pane, Block Preview (independantly whether you are in PGC View or Domain Content View), Program Chains item in Dvd Tree Pane affect block directly (i.e. modified block will be used everywhere).
Right-click actions in Programs Pane and PGC item in Dvd Tree Pane affect block only in the edited PGC (i.e. copy of the block is created so that other PGC are not affected).

I cant get any audio to preview in DVD Remake no matter what I do. Could you please go into more detail and assuma myself, and anyone else reading this, is a total noob? This seems like an awesome feature. |

| Maybe you're overlooking this. The keyword is here: ".....by selecting needed stream (not track!)." |

Used general purpose registers (GPRMs) are marked with "*" after R[x] in the Command Edit dialog. |
