I have tried several "burn slideshow to DVD" type programs and this one is by far the quickest and easiest and displays the best quality images on my TV via a Bose DVD player. So I am thinking of buying, but have a couple of suggestions: Whilst being able to burn thousands of photos onto the DVD is great, it would be good to be able to break them into "Chapters" so you could use the remote control to jump to a particular set of photos. However you pre-sort your photos in a folder on your pc when you import them into the program they default back to alphabetic order. Personally I would prefer to view them in date taken order. Would this be possible? My only alternative appears to be to rename every photo with a numeric digit before the file name to ensure they are viewed in my preferred order. On the lines of the previous comment, if this is my only option then I should like to be able to use the DVD remote control to jump to a specific image number. From the forum I see that the next version may allow you to remove the pan and zoom option. This gives a very professional and pleasing effect but does cause a rippling effect on the TV, which can spoil an otherwise almost perfect image. I appreciate a TV display cannot match a quality pc monitor for quality. I look forward to readers comments and suggestions if I am missing any set up options that are already available. Regards.

Ah - one response, thankyou! I am disappointed that this forum appears to promote no useful response from the moderator, is it SirQUK. Bit pointless with no feedback. A great program but needs some basic changes as suggested. Anyone out there?

As far as I can see this forum only functions as a bug-tracer. Until now (but what do I know after owning PhotoDVD for about a week and as it is the holidays) there is very limited traffic going on. So, please make this forum a community, that way it will function as it should be (imho). Regards, Jan Paul

I have trialled version 1.05 and definitely my concern regarding juddering has been resolved, great work. Quality is pretty good, though not as good as straight slideshow without conversion to DVD format. One essential feature now missing is the ability to import images in the sequence they were on your pc, or to import with file information so they can be sorted by for eg date taken. My other thought regarding grouping sets of images into chapters could easily be done by ability to import multiple folders and the folder names to be treated as chapter names. I see that my 100 trial photos are grouped into ten chapters of ten photos within one title, but seems to serve no purpose. Lastly the file name should be displayed with the DVD show. Please correct me if I am missing a feature already there. Regards

Although not the perfect solution, once the photo's are added you can drag them to any postion you need.
