Problem with Nero: burns dvd+rw and not dvd+r (log posted)

Hi, I have a weird problem with my DVD+RW recorder. I burn rewritable DVDs with no problem but I’ve got to burn recordable DVD+R just a couple of times out of at least a hundred attempts. I’m using nero, in XP SP1, IDEs seem to be Ok, no InCD installed nor other burning software. Here is Nero Log. Any help will be tremendously appreciated (desperately needed!!) Thank in advance! Hi pots, welcome to the forum. Try using the latest version of Nero. Looks like you're using old version and the log shows it fails trying to set the booktype.

Another thing worth a mention is that your firmware for your writer is not recent. Do you have the Dell OEM version or a normal retail LG? Please see Here
