| Hi, I have just upgraded to version 1.05. The caption of the main windows states: "PhotoDVD 1.05.336". After running the program for the first time, the program connects to the internet to find a newer version and poped-up with the message that there was a newer one... Offcourse there was none at this time... In the help-about message it states: PhotoDVD 1.0.3.296 I have never uninstalled my older version, but every time just installed over the older version. Must I uninstall? Regards, Jan Paul

| Hi, Well, this morning I uninstalled my older version and installed the newer version. And oddly, like you said, I recieved a message that said " a newer version and poped-up with the message that there was a newer one... ". Of course I knew that wasn't true since I had just downloaded the lasted version. The program worked fine for me afterwords. I tried to recreate the program to show one of the programmers here at VSO and after uninstalling and reinstalling the new version message never showed up. Are you still having this problem. What is your OS? Uninstalling and closing all windows of former version didn't help? Any more information you can suppy us with would be great so that we can try and reproduce the problem to fix it. Thanks, claire

Hi Claire, The update message did not popup for me later also. When I choose the "About" box, it still states the older version, though the main window caption is still the newer version. I have the Dutch language selected. Using WinXP SP2. If I switch to US English, the "About" box is fine. Seems to be a translational error. Regards, Jan Paul

| Jan paul, As the Dutch translator I can explain what's going on. In the translation I have to update the version number also. Because VSO is releasing updates almost on a daily bases it's difficult to keep track with the translations. So it could be that you will see an 'incorrect' version number. Jan, if you see dutch translation that could be corrected, please send me an e-mail: copytodvd@chello.nl To VSO: Maybe it's better to leave to version number out of the translation and make this a fixed field which updates automatically.
