I'm trying to convert vob to avi, specifically with xvid and mp3 to stream to my 360. I've managed to convert other stuff using virtualdub but am a bit stuck with vob files. I had a go with autogk but the outcome had no sound. I also want to convert some mpeg 1&2 to avi which i tried with virtualdub but had a problem witha corrupt quartz codec [vdub disabled directx] The video is converting ok but the audio is PCM [no compression].
One way i thought of for the vob files is to use nero vision to go from vob to mpeg and then to avi using vdub but there'd be too much converting and so loss of quality. I ran regcure but am not sure if i sorted the quartz problem. Should i redownload it?
