Hey everyone (especially Dimad, wonderful update btw today!),
I was wondering if on the new debug, is there a way to make it play like the old debug did? Here's what I'm experiencing:
I'm fiddling with debug right now on a disc "Snoopy Come Home", I go into debug by pressing f5(or selecting the run debug button), and it gets to the menu fine, but then once I tell it to go to the movie(press the play button in the menu) it halts. Now it just sits there at the pre command screen. If I hit f5 nothing happens, but if I go up and click the "Run Debug" button it runs through these commands and goes to the movie.
Same thing occurs when I'm at the main menu, and I hit the "scene selection" button, it hits some pre commands and halts, until I tell it to run debug again. Then once I'm at the scene selection screen, if I hit the dvd menu button to back to main menu, it again halts at pre commands, until I go up and select the "run debug" button in remake.
Anyhow, what I"m wondering, is there a new setting(I looked but didn't see one) that will make the debug stay in the "run debug" mode so that I don't have to keep clicking it? Having to continually go up and hit "run debug" when flipping between menus isn't major, it's just an annoyance I guess, and was wondering if this was the intended new debug format of play?
Thanks again! |

It is intended to stop after you make a selection in Run mode. It may have something to do with the bug fix that Step mode switches to "run" after cell playback. But you're right, it's supposed to be in the respective mode (Run or Step) after you make a selection in the menu.
Function keys (F5 or F10) don't work probably due to being out of focus, like you have clicked on somewhere else. |

| I don't like the way it currently works either. It should stay in RUN or STEP mode until a break point is reached OR the user takes an external action. |

Hopefully in future versions Dimad can make a setting to that it will stay in the Run Debug mode once I select that mode(and until I select a different mode).
Should I put a topic in the suggestions forum, or do you think this one will suffice?
Thanks again. |
