Nero: Invalid block address.....pleaswe help

HI everyone...new to this forum....well my problem is kind of weird...I bought a new NEC 3540a dvd-rw 2 yesterday...I installed it properly as secondary master and when i tried to burn something i got the above error: invalid block error. I tried burning different stuff but nothing. The only thing that worked was coping via windows in a cd rewritable. The strange thing is tha since i istalled the dvd-r my dvd drives have in their name in the device manager: "SCSI CdRom Device" in the end and my hard disks : "A SCSI device"....none of them is a SCSI device. ....Also today i couldnt write anything not via windows......any suggestions.....??? Your DMA settings are off for every device,even your harddiscs,causing extreme memory use and buffer underruns.... You have also both DaemonTools and Alcohol 120% installed,they use the same engine for their virtual device,so enabling the virtual drive for both of them,can cause conflicts too......disable Alcohol's... Update your Nero Express to the latest,can't harm...and remove the key for the enterprise edition out of your oem version....

Hi Gadget and welcome to our forums. It does seem to be a dma issue ( windows can do this when u install anew device and is very very annoying!!) Info on doing a DMA fix available Here And I agree on the OEM key change too!

Well guys ...problem solved..thanks for your help.......I though it might be the DMA but i couldnt find any options in the device manager properties to change it.....the reason was the nforce drivers....when i updated them everything become normal and the DMA options appeard..... !! Cya

It is possible the drivers you have, have become corrupted. In this case Windows tells you there's no better match, ignore that comment and install them anyway OR deinstall the complete set of drivers and reinstall them anew.
